Padley was incredible, he didn't just come for the money, he gave it his best shot and tried to trade with a three weight world champion.

And looked good as well. It wasn't just a survival project. Stevenson was obviously comfortably ahead throughout, but it was by no means easy and I don't think it was the case of a bad performance by Shakur, Padley just stepped up that well.

Thing is Padley is higher ranked (12th) amongst the WBC after he beat Chamberlain, which is a higher ranking compared to Schofield who pulled out with sickness.

The Schofield / Stevenson was a total mismatch, fans have run a mock with the electrician stuff but Padley is the more competitive fight.

Who's calling this one (Parker vs Bakole) then? No clue what this one will through up.

Both fighters looking really relaxed.

Claressa by the way has tested positive for ... weed?!

How much of an offence is that I wonder? Is there a risk of suspension being stripped of belts?

Small suspension (90 days or so) and a fine. Similar development happened to Keyshawn Davis and he was pulled from his fight back in 2023.

It's astounding that a professional athlete would endorse smoking Marijuana in their careers.

Bakole will have no conditioning whatsoever, fight I can see being dangerous in the first few rounds, beyond round 5 he'll be gassed I reckon. But he does have good endurance for a heavyweight but no camp and a fight in 48 hours notice is diabolical.

Honestly, I know he's desperate, but the man was travelling in while they were doing weigh-ins, how unprepared can one be for a big fight?

Bakole was getting into that mood like against Anderson where he just started walking him down but against fast hands like Parker, suicidal.

Was in no condition to be in such a fight

Think the proof is in the pudding. Massive punch from Parker. Didn't expect it to be over so soon.

That was one of the strangest endings to a fight i've seen from the delayed fall to the ref calling it.

It's weird I thought for a min the trainer called it because at 6 count he was on the side of the ring. Bakole is in the ring taking selfies so he doesn't seem to angry about it.

Not sure why boxing makes me so tense. This one and I'm more nervous than before a United game. And it's not like I'm a dedicated fan of any of the fighters beyond utmost respect for being two elite fighters. I feel my heart leaning towards Bivol just because he lost the last fight and could have won it.

His balance was absolutely gone in that moment because he got caught right on the top of his head.

The pressure from Beterbiev is insane, I can’t imagine how it would feel trying to keep him off you, cuts off the ring so well too. Bivol does a very good job but it must take crazy concentration to keep it up.

Think Bivol has injured his hand and they’re working on his legs to try and kid Beterbiev. Bivol miles off his usual, there’s obviously something up with him.
yeah, he's up against Beterbiev
