How’d you book Randy Orton at Mania?

I think there are some very interesting opportunities and it’ll be interesting to see how WWE book it

Not interested in Aldis fighting
Cody asks Randy to be the guest referee in his match against Cena to prevent any Rock related shenanigans. During the match Randy RKOs Cody, letting Cena win and forming a 2 man power trip with Cena. Beats Cody at WM Backlash and can then go after the WHC.

Solo, Sami, Street Profits and Chelsea Green should be on the show

Nobody needs Logan Paul or the War Raiders
Solo vs Orton I expect it to be confirmed next Friday for Mania weekend. Sami is injured just now so don’t think we will see him back till after Mania. Agree with the SP that they should be on the card and they’ve mucked up the booking big time when that SD tag division was getting interesting. Also agree with Chelsea Green, although maybe her vs Vega could be a late shout to be confirmed for the card.

Having two secondary women's titles introduced and neither being defended is nuts given there's two nights.

Agreed, the SD tag division has been interesting so having new day V war raiders on mania but not a SD tag title match is bizarre. Id understand new day if they hadn't cooled off ND big time after the turn on big E.

Mania is next week but think they've somehow killed their own interest after chamber. I think not having the rock after his involvement in chamber has hurt the interest.

I don’t want Logan Paul either

I can understand the part-time thing when it’s Undertaker, Rock, Lesnar, Cena. Genuine legends.

Doing it for Logan Paul is very annoying. But unfortunately from WWEs position it’s the right decision because presumably he brings more viewership.

I think Roman Reigns becoming a sporadic part-timer is premature too. But perhaps his previous health issues feed into that

Build up has been rubbish this year. Part timers taking over has pretty much deflated the whole thing. Go home shows might be too late to bring the excitement levels up again.

It’s a bit of a theme, not great weekly TV but really memorable PPV’s so far this year. Also think this year’s build was bound to feel a bit rubbish compared to last years.

I'm certain that Heyman is turning on both Roman and Punk for Seth.
This seems to be a popular idea but I don’t really get the benefit of doing this. Heyman is a little wasted in this feud too, none of the 3 really need him to elevate themselves. Roman/Seth need to feud separately and Punk needs to setup for a Cena feud.

The bolded part is exactly why this is happening. Him betraying Roman for Punk would be too linear a storyline.

I see it less so a betrayal of Roman and more of an honouring of previous commitments with Punk really, there’s history there. The whole Heyman owes Seth a favour because he didn’t stomp him doesn’t make sense to me. I haven’t stomped Heyman either I guess that means he owes me a favour too. Swerving for the sake of swerving just doesn’t compel me either.

I think honestly they should remove Heyman from all 3 of them, maybe he gets stomped during the match and he lashes out at Punk and Roman not protecting him and then he disappears for a while and then comes back with Bron Breakker or Jacob Fatu or something. It’s the perfect time for him to move onto elevating the next big talent.

Is there a scenario in which Heyman aids Punk at the expense of Roman but then subverts it afterwards by fecking Punk over too? Releasing himself from both and giving Seth the unexpected win.

Is there a chance of a shock Lesnar return either post-match (Shock Lesnar is a great name by the way) or on Raw, with Heyman realigning himself with him.

Fantasy booking on the beer is fun. Probably nonsensical.

Heyman has previous for nonsensical downgrading.

This would be on par with Master Fuji going Demolition - Powers of Pain - Orient Express

Was that Kross’s first TV match

Other than him facing Akira Tozawa on an episode of Main Event, it's his first match this year.

It's also his first singles match on Raw since a triple threat against Jey and Kofi back in August, and his first one on one on Raw since he beat Xavier Woods back in July.

I take it all the jokes about Midcard Event Jey Uso have already been made? I guess WWE realised belatedly that a nepo-baby selling more merch because they've been marketed more intensely than anyone else on the roster doesn't necessarily make them a Wrestlemania main-eventer. Dunno how they're going to sell next year's Rumble though, seeing as winning it very clearly doesn't mean headlining Wrestlemania any more. Two years in a row they've messed that up.

He should be used more, could imagine someone like Herman booking him as a big deal

I mean it’s been the case for years that they don’t main event WM. I’m pretty sure the ratio in the last say 20 years is probably 50/50 roughly.

Triple H is a protected name online rceently, he can do no wrong, but the build for Mania, almost across the board, has been poor.

Reigns/Punk/Seth has no heat and the wrong focus, Stratton/Flair has been a train wreck, Uso rumble win was a massive mistake and they lost Drew in the shuffle. I don’t think there has been a single really strong build. Even Cena/Cody seems forced and unnatural.

Sometimes just building towards potentially great singles matches is the right call. It’s been overbooked and it’s put hardly anyone in an ideal position.

Been a lot longer than 2 years but stay mad.

Is it not advertised as gets a title shot rather than main events these days?

It's not always meant that anyway. The title shot wasn't a thing for the first five Royal Rumbles, and then after that:
  • Shawn Michaels won in 1995 and the main event of WrestleMania was Bam Bam Bigelow vs NFL's Lawrence Taylor.
  • Austin won in 1997 and the main event was Undertaker vs Sid for the title, while Austin was involved in a No DQ match with Bret Hart (with Ken Shamrock as special referee).
  • Vince won in 1999 and the main event was Austin vs The Rock for the title.
  • Rey Mysterio win in 2006 and the main event was Cena vs Triple H.
  • Undertaker won in 2007 and the main event was Cena vs Michaels.
  • Cena won in 2008 and the main event was Undertaker vs Edge.
  • Edge won in 2010 and the main event was Undertaker vs Michaels.
  • Alberto Del Rio won in 2011 and the main event was Miz vs Cena.
  • Sheamus won in 2012 and the main event was The Rock vs Cena.
  • Orton won in 2017 and the main event was Reigns vs Undertaker.
  • Nakamura won in 2018 and the main event was Lesnar vs Reigns.
Since the introduction of the women's Royal Rumble:
  • Rollins won the men's match in 2019 but didn't main event (Becky Lynch as winner of the women's match did).
  • Charlotte Flair won the women's match in 2020 but didn't main event either night (Undertaker vs AJ Styles was the other main event).
  • Ronda Rousey won the women's match in 2022 but didn't main event either night (KO vs Austin was the other main event).
  • Rhea Ripley won the women's match in 2023 but didn't main event either night (KO/Zayn vs The Usos was the other main event).
  • Bayley won the women's match in 2024 but didn't main event either night (Rhodes/Rollins vs The Rock/Reigns was the other main event).

Those 2010’s Rumble winners, yikes

Sheamus was the 12 second Daniel Bryan match, Orton was the stupid "creepy" projections on the ring mat match vs Bray, and Nakamura was the "kick AJ Styles in the nuts" match.

Can't remember the others.

Rumble sells as ...the rumble?
I mean it's the royal rumble, usually the most exciting match and start of the official road to mania.

I think that's the least of the issues with this mania tbh. At least that match has some kind of build/pay off to it.

What reason does anyone have to even care who wins either main event?
