So Rock is a face again? Damn, I miss that final boss stuff from last year.

I think Cena deserves a bigger last ever mania match.
but then I thought this about Angle and he had a crappy loss to Corbin.

I know some dont agree, but I think Jey beating Gunther on night 2 would be a good way to make Jey a total superstar. The only sad thing is that theyve kinda had a meh run for Gunther as champion.

Also for the other title, I think they should have Punk beat Cody at mania on night 1 main event. It would be a good one year run for Cody to follow Romans long reign.
but then have Punk have a shortish reign and lose it (maybe back to Cody because of Seth). They can then have Seth/Punk at Summerslam (its a two night even so you got one nights main event there).
And then they can have Cody go against Cena. Or reigns 3. (but i think cena beating cody would be cool).
Unless they have Jey beat gunther, then a short reign himself and lose it to a heel to lose to Cena.

Well if he’s there because he’s having a match at WM great, if he’s there to announce New Orleans amidst a half hour promo of bullshit he’s just taking up space
 
They could shift mania completely if they had rock actually wrestling V Roman (if he had time)
Would probably mean punk facing Seth and cody vs.... Solo haha (or Cena)

They got a few directions they can take it anyway

I'm sure I've read that Vince didn't want Kurt having a big last match as payback for all of the time he spent in TNA.

Cody needs to drop it now - ideally to Punk but it sounds like that might not be the match up it's likely to be Cena for the record.

Cody will recover quickly enough anyway.

Sounds like Punk/Roman/Seth 3 way match.

I really don’t think that’s where they’re going. 3 way is a huge waste.

You stretch out this Cena story. Having him go straight to WM for it is underwhelming.

If there's going to be a triple threat, it should be Cody vs Cena vs Punk, with Punk being added by cashing his favour from Heyman.

Punk can win by pinning Cena so Cody doesn't eat the pin, and Cena's still hunting for #17.

I agree, it will be shit if his final Mania match is going to be against Logan Paul.

I was thinking the other day maybe Nakamura? Cena is only one US championship victory away from equaling Ric Flair's record at 6. Not a bad way to bow out on your last Mania.

The one thing WWE has done a great job recently is getting many believable top or near top stars who could be champ
 


Two segments cut from the show. This surely has to be more than just the Rock showing up to announce a Mania location right?
 
If it was standard old fruity pebble Rock, I'd understand people not being arsed but the Final Boss gimmick is fantastic. I'd have no problem with them shoe-horning him into a Mania feud. Cena, Punk, Cody, Roman. Loads of directions they could go with him.
 
One thing I was wondering is unless I missed it, the Monday Night Raw after Mania, was it ever confirmed or shown later on what The Rock secretly secretly placed into Cody Rhodes' hand before making his exit? Just after when they awkardly exchanged belts with one another :lol: . There was some mentions and rumours earlier at the time when it happend that it was one of the red beads from Roman's ula fala but I doubt that now tbh.

Cody has been acting more heelish for a while so assuming now he might be heel going into WM v Punk (or Cena).

He’s referred to Cody as Luke Skywalker before so that’s where they’re going.
 
Just watched the highlights for Smackdown. Why does The Rock keep tapping his forearm and the camera zooms into it? What's that about?

Also, what was the segment about? The Rock turning into Shang Tsung? I was confused, did they explain better on the actual show?

Current guess is Rock wants Cody to become a corporate shill.

Rosa should have told them in the locker room that she is swinging the chair, then it's down to Megan and Baker to duck out of the way and leave the ring, if they don't get out of the way and require stitches then that is on them.

Everyone knows a face comes down with a chair the heels leave the ring it's the way wrestling has always been, it doesn't matter if you personally like them of hate them you should respect the business.

Yes, corporate champ in exchange for the high life.

Think it’s a fun story idea and can see WM being when Cody confirms it with a WM17 style ending.

I don’t think so, I think Cody does it which leads to them breaking up next year and them having a match/the rocks next heel avatar feuding with him.

Basically McMahon and Austin to an extent which is great!

Punk to be the one who gets screwed at WM if I had to guess.

It's to show the goosebumps he gets.
 
I like the idea. Punk winning the chamber then coming after Cody and eventually getting screwed at mania by The Rock.

Punk cries about it until the next mania where he eventually becomes the champion.
