Cena announcing he's in the chamber cos he wants to win 17 and main event mania

Jey winning btw was a great twist especially given the last ten wrestlers.
Had no issues with how Seth Roman and punk went out. Was done well.

They've put some teasers as well with Jacob staring down Cena. Enjoyed the mens rumble cos the winner wasn't always obvious.
Unlike the women's rumble which went downhill once Nikki came out and then went completely off a cliff with that 8 person elimination by Nia.

I like Jey but not sure how this win make sense. If they wanted to do curveball finish then should have let KO win the title and Sami win the rumble. Ko v Sami for the title would have been more interesting than Gunther vs Jey which is just boring.
It makes sense if Jey beats gunter finally having lost his last three Vs him. The story is there. Plus despite complaints here and on X, that's just a bubble compared to what happens in arenas / stadiums and merchandise sales and key numbers that WWE would be interested in.

Fair enough. Still bored of Jey Gunther story. Maybe me but I don't get a big match feel with those two

Fecking Jey. entrance and super kick merchant, this is what happens when you have an over entrance.

He needs to improve quickly to avoid being a flop.

Assume he beats Gunther now.

Cody v Punk

Rollins v Reigns

Cena v Fatu

The men’s rumble was great when they had Punk, Drew, Roman, Seth and Cena in the ring at the same time. Logan Paul was a disappointment at 30, he should have just come earlier. Pleased to see Joe Hendry got a great reaction.

In terms of Gunther, they haven’t given him a proper feud since he became champion.

Also I detest influencers like that Speed guy but fair play for him for taking that spear. Also Otis just chucked him on the table

Is that the first time a football celebration has been in the Royal Rumble?

For years you read how predictable the Rumble has become they throw a curve balland everyone is up in arms
To be fair this one was unpredictable full stop. Jey winning in a year where there was one obvious winner would be better.

Don’t think anybody saw that and they’ve gone with the most over guy right now if we are completely honest. People can say it’s an entrance or a catchphrase but nobody has been getting bigger responses than Jey has for a while now. Great curveball and a genuinely likeable guy that has worked his ass off to get a moment like that.

Think that also shows you where the company is now, no way he would have won under Vince.

My problem isn’t the curveball

But Jey Uso is probably the worst wrestler on the roster. I simply don’t get it. His matches are awful and he only has 1 move

I reckon we're going to get the Cena almost doing it to only lose at the last minute for most of the year until December in his last match when he'll get a title shot win and then retire, vacating the belt for a title deciding rumble.

There is no way Jey is the worst wrestler on the roster. You’ve gone a bit over the top there. He has more than just a super kick but he does need to expand his move set.
He is the worst for me. I forwarded his match on the first Raw vs Drew. Played after 5min, first move..superkick. Forward a bit more. Play. Superkick straight away again. And again.. 3 super kicks in a row.

Him being popular is one of the most unexplainable things in the world. I really struggle with it. What does he offer?

Jimmy is who you describe, Jey has been doing well for a while hence the push. Great with the crowd, great on the mic. Yes he needs to improve his move set but I can see why he won. Will have to see how it pans out but a long term with Gunther will be good for them both.

Sick of Flair already, predictable bullshit in that Women's Rumble.

Stephanie Vaquer, easily the most beautiful woman in the company, god damn did she look fine.

It was definitely Jey vs McIntyre. And he definitely only does the superkick. Makes no odds to me as I won’t watch his matches anyway but it’s a waste. And their mania match will tank

Because people who go to WWE shows for the most part aren't counting number of moves or 'workrate' etc. he connects with the crowd through his entrance and promos (and catchphrase) which in turn means they care about his matches even if they aren't classics

I doubt it will be a classic but it will get a huge reaction if/when he wins, which surely with be against Gunther. Like I said nobody is more over than him right now, it’s quite refreshing to see them striking on hot talent when they’re massively over instead of being forced to in the past (Bryan etc).

It’s also lovely to see a less predictable product. Most thought Cena was winning and once it got to the final two I don’t think anybody would have bet against him. It also makes the build to Mania more interesting with what they’re not going to do with Cody, Reigns, Seth, Punk etc.

The way Cena was talking at the Press Conference was a little bit heel-ish. Makes me wonder if he won't win at the Chamber either, and he'll just insert himself into the Main Event at a later date?

Wasn’t expecting that in the mens rumble. They’ll have to come up with something good to keep me invested because I have zero interest in watching an Uso main event he’s one of the worst in ring performers in the company his matches are shite

A lot of people theorizing it will be Roman Vs Seth Vs Punk at WM but a triple threat match with no title on the line won't make sense.

I think it will be just Roman Vs Seth. The whole point of that angle was they can't let go of their trauma towards each other and it always costs them both. A theme they have been playing into since last WM.

I think Punk will use his favour to get inserted into Jey's title match at WM. Everyone is assuming it's going to be Jey Vs Gunther, but they could go Jey Vs Cody with Punk inserting himself to make that a triple threat. Cena could face Gunther.

And Punk wins which enrages Roman who calls out Heyman for betraying the Bloodline by letting Punk into the match, playing into a Punk/Roman feud heading into SummerSlam/MITB.

This way it gives Punk a main event, keeps the Bloodline story rumbling along, they can conclude the decade long Roman/Seth story and set the stage for Roman/Punk feud with Heyman in the middle for rest of 2025.

Zero chance he closes the show in either night one or two.

I think him vs Gunther will open night one.

For me the main event of night one will be Reigns vs Punk vs Rollins.

Night two will be Rhodes vs Cena.

Triple threat doesn’t make sense you’re right.

I think it’ll be simple…

Punk wins chamber, then faces Cody in night 2 main event.

Seth v Reigns.

For me the main event of night one will be Reigns vs Punk vs Rollins.

Night two will be Rhodes vs Cena.
I just can’t see them having a triple threat with no title, it doesn’t end any feud and feels pointless.

They've been calling him "Main Event" for the last couple of years and if he wins the Rumble and doesn't main event WM, it will be a death knell for his career.

I think he challenges Cody, and Punk inserts himself into that match to make it the night 2 main event as a triple threat.

Cena Vs Gunther as Night 1 main event and Seth Vs Roman in a one on one.

You said the same thing about Kofi Kingston when he won the title.

They’ve not done much with Gunther as champion, carrying Jey to a poor match and a defeat would be a shitty way to end his title reign, plus his character almost suits holding a belt

Punk Roman is the biggest match they have after Rock Roman, making it a triple threat would devalue imo

And yeah they’ve removed Drew from the story for no reason by randomly having Logan Paul be the guy to eliminate Punk instead

That’s true but you still need to be able to give us something for the big blowoff match, him and Jimmy killed the crowd dead during their WM match last year, and in his match with Drew in the first Netflix show, it’s just “yeet” that’s over really

A lot of hate for Jey but you have to remember a lot of the fans are kids and they fecking love him. He's average in the ring which I agree with but not everyone watches wrestling for some technical match.

He's over as feck and after going to a few live events, no one brings a crowd on their feet nowadays like he does, even if it is for the entrance and a few yeets.

And turned out to be bang on the money. Uso is even worse, which time will show
You rewatch kofimania, and the fact it's highly regarded as one of the best mania moments ever, and you think you're bang on the money?

A fantastic example of seeing what you want to see and not what's actually going on.

YEET!

Going over Gunther at Mania and Jimmy's winning MITB.
