He's better than Shaw still, and Darmian.

It'd be good to have someone on the left to help the attack overlap. Paddys problem in the last season was a combination of Moyes and being our only left back for years. We could rotate him here.

We need more winners.
 
Don't see why we can't have him as a backup and add him to our coaching staff.

Also, he would be a great personality in the changing room and would help the likes of Shaw so I'm all for it.
 
When it comes to a player like Evra I'm a romantic.

We've got Shaw and Blind if he isn't up to it. It's not like we're signing another LB in the winter anyway. I doubt he's expecting to play every game if there is any truth to this.

But we shouldn't resign him as a player. Rule of thumb: try not to return to your former stomping grounds if your abilities have diminished significantly. And given some of Pat's performances in Serie A at Juventus, he's a shadow of the player and athlete he once was, even if you chuck in the age caveat (like Rio at QPR, or Nemanja at Internazionale). His lasting legacy as a United player should be as a proud warrior who finished with one last memorable moment at the Alliaz Arena, not some bumbling pity buy who's done at that highest level and will invariably be shellshocked on his return to any sort of on-field role at United. Ah, how I wish all our heroes would disappear with a flourish à la Cantona.

I think we all have some great memories of Paddy, I don't want to see him get abuse from our fans for not being as good as he used to be. I think we all remember Gnev's shocker at West Brom, it was painful to watch and I'd struggle to think of a single fullback that played to a high level in the Prem at his age.

He started to struggle in his later years at United. In fact, many started to critisize him and stating he's not up to his previous level anymore. Now it's all romantics, but from a football point of view it doesnt make sense

Yeah we love Paddy and he loves us (and the game clearly!) but come on, this guy is completely out of his mind. If the wrong people catch wind of this video poor Paddy will find himself in a straight jacket by nightfall.

I love Patrice and I love this game.

The sooner he's back at the club in any official capacity, the better for us all.
 
Even if he did decline towards the end of his United career, he always improved the team, and his desire to win was unparallelled. I believe it was in the 6-1 defeat to City, he cleared a ball in the 90th minute or so and was livid with his teammates for just standing there.

Arguably my favourite United player of all time.
 
We could certainly do with a few Patrice Evra's in our current squad.
Loves and says great things about the club. Walks the talk on the pitch.
I know it was just a testimonial game on Sunday , but judging by the way he plays he could've still been such a positive influence on Luke Shaw

When Evra retires the club need to get him back at some stage, an ambassador, coach or even a monday celebration specialist.

Superb defender, easily one of the most underrated left backs in the world. Scored a few peachy ones too. This guy was Mr Man United, I'd love to see him back here at some point under a staff role.

No surprise that John Terry likes an Instagram post that includes the sentence "As a person I am better than you because even your wife @coleen_rooney said I make her smile"
 
I love the guy, and he provided me with probably the best 10 seconds of my life ever. Have to get him back here as an ambassador
