The Open 2009

Yeah, Woods has this one in the bag. The only real competition will come from Sergio Garcia.

Although Cabrera at a massive 67/1 will look a bit tasty for those who like a flutter, given he won the US Masters only 3 or 4 months ago.

And the US Open in 2007 I think.

He has a habit of turning up for the big ones.

What is the odds on Steve Stricker? Two PGAs this year I think and ended up 20 below just now.

Kaymer has to be up in the running.

I'd love Lee to do it though, but don't see it.

Bit soon?

Tiger is in uncharted territory... Picking anyone BUT Tiger at this point looks insanely good.

I'm going with Kim at 40-1

I'm surprised how big of a favourite Woods is. I mean, most bookmakers have the second favourite (Garcia) around the 25/1 mark. That is shocking.

There's some good money to be made here if Tiger doesn't win..

The point is, from what I`ve gathered, that when Tiger doesn`t win it`s usually some random dude you didn`t think of. Cabrera being the prime example.

The Sergio Garcias and Phil Mickelsons don`t really step up forthe big four or five.

Christ those odds are mad!

Just put a few bets on now, I like Tiger but hope he doesn't win this one now!

Well Mickelson's out due to his wife/mother, Harrington is in very poor form (barring last week's win in an amateur field) and Sergio just can't seem to win one! So Tiger is obviously the overwhelming favourite.

Westy's playing well but question marks still linger over his bottle when it's crunch time, plus he's not actually won a tournament since 2007!

Stricker's a good shout after his win last week, came 8th in 2008 and 7th in 2007 so he'll be one to watch definitely.

Fisher is the form Brit in the majors this year, although i can't recall his previous performances on links/the Open.

Betting on Westwood and Campbell have been suspended on Skybet...

I think it's hard to look much further than Tiger.

I think Henrik Stenson might not be a bad outside bet.

Is it tomorrow it starts?

For some reason I thought it was today. I have a stupid amount of money riding on this, I really need Tiger to lose.

Ended up backing Stenson, Els and O Hair.

What a performance in the first round from Watson, probably will just be this round, but good for him

Had a few bets. So far, Poulter to be top Brit and Ogilvy outright are dead in the water. But Cink to be in the top 10 and Westwood to be top Brit are alive and kicking. I also took 5/2 on Tiger and have topped up at 6s.

Shocking from Poulter.

Conditions a lot worse today, hoping Westwood can put it all together this week.

Anyone watching? Tiger needs to chip in to make the cut, horrible round +4 today.

Westy -2 and has a chance to go -3. Favourite on Betfair now.

Watson started badly but came back brilliantly to lead once again at -5, another massive putt to do it.

Watching myself...Tiger looks to be out with a +5

Great play from Watson...2 brilliant puts on the 16th and 18th to get back to -5

Earlier i thought Harrington and McIlroy were both out with those rounds but looks like they will make the third day.

Tiger and Westy miss, just short.

Only Tiger's 13th missed cut in 246 PGA TOUR events!

Granted Woods has bowed out but regardless that is an exciting lookking leaderboard as we enter the weekend.

Wow. Tiger looked a dead cert to win the thing the other day.

I know Goosen will probably be favourite now, but my money is still on Garcia. Hopefully we'll see an exciting finish.
