We can't string two passes together. I didn't mind so much when we were winning, obviously. But we got all the breaks from the ref and still couldn't beat a ten man Arsenal.

10 man Arsenal deserved the win and got harsh treatment from the ref.

I'm back, very poor and frustrating result, but full marks to Arsenal, last season i thought they lacked botlle back to come away with a win with a man down shows a great determination.

Defensively we were poor, i think our defense is taking a winter break, Litmanen was very creative and played excellently in his prefered playmaker role, Smicer looked dangerous but we were'nt clinical enough, we dominated possesion but i can remember only one real effort on target our goal :rolleyes: .

Very disapointing but we will bounce back, again let me congratulate Arsenal on a very determined performance.

I have just watched Ashley Cole clear Michael Owens' shot on the line on Sky Sports Video Lounge and I feel it was absolutely amazing.
It may have been going wide till it hit Ashley Coles' shoe, but it spun in and Ashley Cole just used his other leg and cleared it - that was incredible.
 
the match could've gone either way TBH. Had Owen's shot traveled about another 20cm and had Berger's shot gone in later etc. Cole's clearance was one of the most dramatic in recent memory though.
 
Yes I agree Raoul. In all fairness Liverpool had the lions' share of possesion and it seemed they had the more clear cut chances.
But Arsenal deserve credit. To play almost an hour against a team like Liverpool at Anfield and win just shows what a terrific team they are.
Definate title-challengers, I have always mantained Arsenal and Manchester United are the main challengers for the experiance they contain.
 
Hey Arse won despite some outrageous decisions by the ref... sending off v. Bronckhorst, not sending off Dudek. I believe it wouldn't have been that close if the Arse didn't have to defend for 60 minutes in 10 men.

Cole's save was dramatic, and Berger shved the post, but Henry came close a couple of times; and Kanu as well.

Re Gerrard: It turns out that he's overrated. He'd better shape up or he'll risk missing the world cup.
 
Yes, Steven Gerrard hasn't been performing anywhere near his best at all this season, though like Beckham no matter how poor his form is I doubt he would miss out on Japan & South Korea.
Without Dietmar Hamman supporting him he looks nothing special, and can not cope on his own.
Personally, I believe Svenn-Goran Eriksonn will be keeping an eye on Gerrard, whilst watching over Keiron Dyer.
