Charley most unpopular Big Brother contestant
It has been less than 48 hours since Big Brother 8 launched but already viewers have a housemate to hate.
Charley Uchea, 21, is so disliked that she’s set a new Ladbrokes betting record. The company said it has never taken such a small number of bets on a contestant to win.
The unemployed Londoner, who proclaims herself an It girl, attracted just four bets, totalling £5 in the opening six hours of betting.
Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: "Charley managed to alienate the crowd within seconds on launch night. She faces an uphill battle from here on in."
The cousin of Manchester United star Kieran Richardson, Uchea was booed by the crowd as she entered the house on Wednesday night. The former lap dancer has already cried on the Channel 4 show, explaining the experience was too “intense”.
She has also bragged to Victoria Beckham look-alike Chanelle Hayes that she has a size zero figure but unusually large breasts for her frame. Pulling her top open, she invited Hayes and the other housemates to touch her chest to see that she hadn't had breast enhancement surgery.
While Uchea is hated and the squealing of 18-year-old twins Sam and Amanda Marchant are beginning to irritate housemates and the public, Laura Williams, 23, has proved an early favourite. Ladbrokes report the Welsh nanny is the 6-1 favourite to win the show. The public, seemingly, has overlooked her unusual ambitions and focused on her personality.
Williams wants to be an embalmer and currently volunteers at a cemetery raking leaves.
