I agree with your comments Re: Emily and skinny jeans, she seems to think she finds these things before anything else like she discovered indie music.

Nicky let slip herself, her true nature. She told Charley how she unleashed a barrage of profanities at a girl at her work place before telling the poor soul "Not to even look at her". Then in her obsequious drivel she let slip that this incident took place not long before she entered the house, then spotted this and hastily added "...but I'm different now..."
So the girl can be so venomous one minute and then be so subservient "...oh you're so pretty...I hate my bum...You've got a great figure...you're so beauitful oh oh oh..." Charley was the first to spot this duality and see exactly what kind of a girl Nicky is...
That is why Charley was angry with Nicky for trying to elevate the situation and make Charley look arguementitive when Charley was unhappy about somebody eating her dinner.
Yet none of you can spot that....
