The next Liverpool manager | Arne Slot Liverpool's Báld Fraud

£12m is a huge amount for an unproven manager with only 1 Eredivisie and one KNVB Cup to his name, what other managers have cost similar amounts?

Feels like a risky one to me. The big challenge in replacing Klopp is replacing his authority and charisma, not his tactics. And while that’s going to be difficult for any manager, at least someone with a longer honours sheet would start from a better place.

He's a wildcard, that's for sure. Like Charlie in the back of the gasoline van.

I just hope he's one of the Nunez type signings that Liverpool make and not one of the Salah type ones.

Neither did Guardiola but he still tried to play his way when he first went to city then he slowly got rid of a lot of players and brought in players. ETH has just signed a bunch of players from his former team which indicated he wanted to try and play that way. Then we sign Casemiro… who doesn’t seem like he could play that way.

Fair points, except for the bolded bit.

We like to bash Klopp for many reasons, but the guy has a pretty good honours list. Few active managers have objectively better ones.

I can't think of any such candidates that are both accessible and are not known for creating strained relationships with players or club management. So no Tuchel, Mourinho, Conte etc.

Ya from the outside it does look an underwhelming one for their new manager. Klopp was highly regarded back in the day coming into a club who were not at all consistent on the fronts they have been the last few years.

now they are a team who expect to be competing, on top of that, the likes of Salah and van Dijk are approaching the top of their curve and need replacements in. That midfield they have is also poor. Their attack is also not what it was.

It’s a massive undertaking, considering Klopps shadow and player faith in him, new manager you felt maybe needed more clout behind him to get players and people behind him. There was surely other targets out there or is it just so many said no that Slot is now an easier option to get in asap?

What do you make of Ten Hag's time at Ajax vs Arne at Feyenoord? Do you consider Arne's to be the bigger achievement?
Almost reaching the CL final is a bigger achievement in Europe than reaching the Conf league final, but winning the league with Feyenoord is a bigger achievement than winning it with that Ajax squad.

I honestly have no clue how Slot will do. I think being a relative nobody means he will need results fast. Even more so than Ten Hag did. Though he is far more eloquent than Ten Hag and fluent in English which will help with the press atleast.

Also, he shouldnt bring any Dutch (league) players.

As soon as Klopp walks out the door for the final time, all the belief and confidence that has been built up over the last 8 years goes with him. And then, in walks Andre Agassi’s bastard brother. It’s definitely going to be a tough gig for him, without even considering the composition of the squad and the transfer activity that people like Carragher seem to be calling for.

I think the biggest challenge for him is the fact that he receives Klopp's squad on their last legs (bit similar to when SAF left, though SAF had even bigger shoes to fill). He will have to rebuild massively. That's a rather big thing as a nobody with limited credit from a fanbase that will want a title race regardles of the squad.

His head is far shinier than Andre's though. He waxes his dome.

 Love it.
Good to see Liverpool now having their own hairless fraud

Talking about the League he’s managed in isn’t relevant? Why? What can we discuss about him?

I just don't think managers are blind to their mistakes in the way a lot of fans might think.

If Slot gets some things wrong, or underestimates certain aspects of the Premier League, it doesn't mean he'll stubbornly stick to his old ways until the end. Most managers are good at adapting, even ten Hag last season is a good example of that, but this season he's turned very stubborn admittedly.

I also don't believe a few examples like De Boer and ten Hag are enough of a sample size to have a bias against Dutch managers.

So to replace the Klopp Fist Pumps (Trademarked), there’s a chance we might see Arne Slott drops at the end of the game to get the fans going!

Wish him all the luck in the world. Hopefully he can do as well as these two legends of Liverpool.

It’s obvious why he was chosen, isn’t it? Liverpool hired the data and stats mastermind Edwards. As a true scholar and beacon of strategic mastery he crunched the numbers at a level no other had done before him. He then spoke to the Liverpool owners weighing up each word carefully: „Listen, we know there is no second Klopp. But 2 out of the first three letters of Klopp and Slot are the same. K is also reasonably close to S in the alphabet whereas pp is even closer to t. You might say it fits to a T… haha.”

God, I’m absolutely loving the last few posts. Whatever happens with United, the good times are back again, that’s for sure.

Be just their luck for him to turn out to be the least fraudulent Pep Guardiola is my idol. We’d never hear the end of it!

Why does “b ald fr aud” autocorrect to “pep guardiola is my idol”
