The New Kits Thread

Celtic's away kit is hideous. Not too dissimilar from the bumble bee effort they had in the mid-1990s.

They've designed that kit to look that ugly on purpose so it will shift some of the players still on big contracts who wouldn't be seen dead wearing that.

The players seem happy to wear it, now all they need is Mike Ashley to model it and that'll be a job well done.

I also like it, but I think it's good we have Nike, because Adidas is worse than them in making kits.

Nike's kits are ordinary (club badge, Nike logo and sponsor), while Adidas make awful kits.

Just look:

I think that is actually really nice. Better than the shit kits they usually have. The Russia away shirt is also really nice. That said, the Chelsea home shirt is hideous.

As others have commented, Celtic are back to green again...at least this time they put in black hoops to help a little bit with colour clashes.

Another year with their "international" European kit at Hibs because their away is the same colour as their home. I never understand this since they could play Hibs away as many as 4 times in as few as 40 domestic games and they know this.

I know it is a tradition of theirs, but it is totally daft.

They should really make their black or yellow their two year aways and their white or green (read: "clashing") ones one year "international" European (read: "pre-Christmas") thirds.

I also don't understand why they make such a big point of always calling their third shirt their "international" shirt.

They've got such a shit record in Europe - most embarrassingly in 2005/06 - when they never wore their "international" black shirt in Europe after getting knocked out in the second qualifying round by Artmedia Bratislava - who wear barcodes at home.

Is there another club that makes an away essentially the same colour as their home?

I think West Ham do.

Blue and black.

Does it mean Chelsea won't wear home and away kit against teams with blue colour in their kits? Oficially, it's away kit, but I'm sure they'll be wearing third kit in the same number of matches as away one.

It seems they made it on purpose, those stupid Chelski fans will buy their third, too.

Arsenal’s new third kit for the 2009/10 season..

Finally, the greatest player in the world three years from now:

Arsenal's there looks great, agree with cina, probably the best new one yet. Chelsea's kit on the other hand...

Arsenal always get the best kits from nike. Lucky bastards.

A red version of that third kit could have been a class home kit for us
