I wan't a fan of the 2007-09 kits. Didn't like the red collar.
The 2009-2010 Chevron kit was badly designed. It never grew on me, I tried, but never happened.
Black collars/necks are cheap looking, the black collar of the 1994-96 kit is very smart designed though, not a pure black collar as well.
The only Nike kits I like are 2006-07, 2007-09 and this season's. 3 out of 9 Nike kits I like.
the blue wont happen, well have the red, a new white and this years blue stripey number for a third kit
I'm not a big fan of them but we've always had one available every since Nike took over and for most of the time in the 45 years before that. Adidas always did white aways for us too. Only Umbro have been adventurous with the clours of our away kits.
Some supposed info about next season's Nike kits:
Manchester United
A new design for the new Red Devils’ shirts as Nike opts for a checkered design. The home shirt will feature a black v-neck and a red checkered body in 2 different shades of red.The new away shirt is white with a red collar and has the Manchester United badge in black and white.
92/3 and 93/4 are the only times I can think of that we've not had a white kit in the rotation somewhere (if you count that blue and white striped abomination from the mid 90s as a white shirt)
oh feck off with the white kits already
If that's true, then this, which was posted a few months ago wouldnt be far off:
Don't know about it blue, through?
The home shirt is pictured at the top of the page.
The crest on the away shirt has been done like that a couple of times before (although this is a photo of a training shirt):
There must be a logic to the kit designs, these people are at the top of their games, it obviously doesn't impact on player performance so it must be down to maximising sales of replica shirts...who in their right mind would buy that shirt though?
Well, Adidas do need a new Engish team on their books after they ditched Liverpool, but our deal with Nike runs until 2015 and is more dependent on the money they pay us rather than the quality of the designs. I'm not a fan of Adidas in general, but they couldn't produce much worse than this lumberjack/tartan/teacloth effort, could they.
Not too sure about those Newcastle kits given that the new ones will feature Virgin Money as the sponsor rather than Northern Rock.
