His pining for a CB in summer seems like a joke now. He has been terrible at getting anything close to the best from the players he signed himself. Sanchez, Pogba, Lukaku, Mkhitaryan, Bailly, Lindelof, Fred, Matic. Why would anyone with a right mind give him more money for more players who'll underperform under him?

And if you don't want to back him, and he keeps complaining that his shit results are because of that, why would anyone in their right mind not sack him?

Totally agree. Under a different manager I'm certain that Pogba would improve. I can't wait to be rid of Mourinho. Pogbas performance tonight is directly related to his his relationship/feelings towards his manager, but he was completely trash tonight.

Nah. Jose needs to leave but players having no self respect and respect for the shirt is not something you can hide behind feelings towards the manager. Enough pro's better than Pogba have said that.

The players are horrific and have downed tools under 3 managers now. I don’t think a change of manager is going to get much more out of these players. On paper fair enough we’ve good players. Where’s the winning mentality? Every decision we make seems to be the wrong one even if it seems to make sense at the time. A lot of these players need to go somewhere where they will listen to the manager. I genuinely think that we pay far far too much to everyone in our squad and there’s no incentive to kick on. Just sulk if you suck and still get paid the highest wages for your ability level in world football. We are a terribly run club!!!

This excuse again, what about the players Mourinho brought in? Some of them have been our worse players this season.

It's the managers job to train and get the best out the players he has. Mourinho has failed big time

I fear it won't just be Pogba. Does anyone remember how poor Hazard was under Mourinho in that final season? He is that toxic.

Jose gave up on this season in preseason.

It's been downhill since.

Mourinho's a horrible cnut. He's downed tools at 3 different clubs now.

Hazard said he was personally sorry for those displays and wants to play for Mou again........he prob will as well.

And still get's £15M.... it's bloody out of order that attitude and an insult to fans.

Sadly United define success by profit not points and they won’t sack him until it’s cheapest for them.
They are not realizing but sowing seeds for a fall from grace. The more of this continues, the more negative publicity United gets.

Van Gaal only kept like 6 starters from the Moyes era. So it's not like its the same players over and over again..

I think the common denominator is hiring the wrong managers. Woodward doesn't help either

Surely that's enough now?

We showed in very brief moments that the players can play a quicker style of football and score goals because of it.

Sadly due to coaching, mentality and preparation we're terrible.

Another manager would absolutely get more out of these players right now. Most of them might still not be good enough but they'd be better with an attacking manager that drills the players to pass quickly, to press and has them running more too.

Another manager would absolutely be able to instill the confidence for players to try things as well. Right now they're all shit scared because they'll get dropped if they don't toe the line and publicly shamed by Mourinho too. Too many times today our strikers made runs and our midfielders and defenders passed it sideways instead.

It's shambolic at the minute and the buck stops with Mourinho first.

I also think Jose should be doing a lot better. I don’t like our football. Our football at times was horrible under fergie too but at least the mentality was good. Fergie would 100% get rid of any player not delivering. The power bi players have now seems to have come at the exact wrong time for us. It’s painful following the club nowadays but I’m watching over 30 years so I won’t stop...

Who else is going to come in here and control these huge egos and play the football we want? I just don’t see it anymore. Maybe if we signed good young players with something to prove who will follow the managers instuctions then we might see something more cohesive on the pitch.

How to waste a billion quid by Ed Woodward. Disneyland indeed...

It really is. Makes it hard to enjoy football in general. Watching any decent game with random teams makes you think "why can't we do that ?"

It's the same for me, I can't really watch much football these days.

Just give him his money.

The amount of damage the United brand is taking throughout this is much worse than 15mil.
You and me know that.... it's the flecking board acting like fools over a few million.

Weve had different players. Moyes had different players to LVG who had different players to Mourinho . There's only like 4 or 5 players who've played for all of those managers. Each of them had time to improve the team and they didn't. Mourinho has had the most money and arguably done the worst job. He can't get the best out of his own signings and created a negative atmosphere around the club with his constant moaning starting with pre season.

Anything that pisses off Woodward and the Glazers is good for the long term interests of United.

Plenty could be doing better. Mou will do fine at another club perhaps. Its just gone too far here for a turnaround. The player recruitment is another issue but that's again at least 50% on Mou. Player recruitment is integral to progress but we are going backwards!

I would like to watch Dortmund because I like Favre but I can't, it just makes me bitter.

It's upto the manager to motivate his team .

United are waiting until its cheaper to sack him. Ie qualification for champions league impossible . Can be the only explanation .

"It's Woodward's fault, he should have backed him or sacked him" this is the most criticism some of the worshipers can muster as a criticism of their idol.

I have not watched a game live for 6 weeks. This year I've been reminded by bigger issues with family how important time is. It may make me a bad fan but I honestly don't care much for watching players and manager get paid such huge sums and not give their collective all.

Not heard his post match comments, but judging by the thread he's blaming our players.

It shouldnt take three fecking years to implement a style and get the players playing how you want, regardless of whether you've bought them or not.

No. Ed should have structured the football side better lending itself to better recruitment and better contract renewal intelligence across the club. That means how he has dealt with Mou's contract and everything else! He's ultimately where the buck ends, not Mou. The latter is showing himself incapable.....the one above him is displaying the same. Same structure, diff manager wont bring us to the top....it will bring us to top 4. Who cares for that as an end game!

They can get a team playing good football year in year on about 1/4 of what we spend and all while being resigned to losing their best players if the price is right. BD show that it is possible to give modern young players a chance and they can succeed at a very high level within that model. If we got something like that going with UTD we’d slash our wage bill, clubs might be interested in signing our players again as they won’t be on 150,000 a week and being offered half that at their next club... Get players approaching their peak with something to prove. If they don’t make it we can easily afford to try again. Anything is better than these over paid mercenaries who aren’t even playing for each other or the fans. Our whole transfer approach is screwed up.

I ought to give you some money for rent considering how much I'm living in your head.

Funny, that's a pretty poor attempt at mind games. You are posting all over the place in the Mourinho threads, so it's not exactly hard to come across your posts.

Surely you have to agree that there are bigger issues at the club than Mourinho (and for the 100th time, yes he got to go)
