He's not the manager we need to turn this ship.

Mourinho got United back on an even keel after the Moyes/LvG debacles, but he spent up all his 'benefit of the doubt' trying to bring the squad together through tough love. Now he's done that, he no longer has the goodwill from the players to get them to run through brick walls for him.

Managing United was always going to be two jobs: making the players tough, and then making the players play well. Jose did the first job and failed at the second. I don't begrudge him that failure because he's definitely on the way to moulding a decent side. But his status at the club has taken too much of a bruising getting us to this point. It's time for him to move on so that somebody else can finish the revolution.

Seriously, spare a thought for the people who have travelled hundreds of miles down to Southampton in December to watch that shite. They've spent a fair penny to do so... think about that.
I always do.

I already feel sorry for the Old Trafford crowd as it is.

What a horrible lineup and tactical approach - I'd take a defeat to Arsenal if it finished him early

He’s never going to get sacked whilst we’re in the champions league. Unfortunately he’s here now until at least February.

Starts 5 central midfielders....still doesn’t pick £50m Fred...what a complete mess.

It's not getting any better, so he has to go. There's nothing to suggest he's on the right track.

I'm really shocked he still kept 5 at the back. I mean keep Matic at the back and add an extra striker, what do the assistants even offer in advice. Just listen to him cry

Horrific manager. Worse than the nothing manager I called him a few months ago.

That's a seriously long trek, though: Manchester to Southampton... some will have even flown in for the game. Just think, they've got to go all the way back now with nothing positive to show for the trip. It's really, really bad from that perspective.

I have beem behind Jose for a long time, especially after those comeback wins a couple of months ago and us playing good football, but today has got me to change my mind. That starting 11 was horrendous, and the subs were poor. Why not take a defender or CM off instead of Rashford? Mind- boggling.

I'm starting to hate the guy....picking that team today and making those subs. Our approach to the second half, he clearly wants us to play slow build up football.

Doing untold damage to the club at the moment. The board are not bothered in the slightest though
They will be. I’d love to join in and slate the owners and board because the Glazers are parasites - but there will be meetings going on behind the scenes.

Jose’s finished, he knows it, we know it. It’s just a matter of when they pull the trigger now. They’ll be consulting lawyers and agents of other managers. We’ll be sounding out the next head coach and probably a director of football.

Sometimes it has to get really bad, to get good.

Ed needs to line up someone, to take over in the Summer.
So, when the new manager arrives, it needs to be well planned.

Draw against CP. Draw against Southampton. This can't be acceptable.

Why do fans expect Jose to get sacked? The fans are turning up to games. Purchasing merchandise. All is rosey in the United commercial world

I might be crazy but I believe we have some really good players in there with the right manager. No way are they this bad.

Mourinho has to take some......SOME of the blame. How many times does our players sleep, let the opposing team take an early lead before they wake up and play? This is getting ridicolous with the same happened against Newcastle and Bournemouth. Pogba was a disgrace and performing well below his ability.

But the bottom line is this entire squad is bang average. 7th is right. Mourinho should be worshipped for taking this team to 2nd place and two cups including a European title. He has done very well to get as far as he can but now it looks like he can't do it anymore

Whoever comes will still face the same problem as long as that dipshit Woodward is still handling the transfers.

Thanks for everything Jose!

How is he “moulding a decent side”? The next manager has a pretty poor squad to work with. Jose’s signings haven’t been the best.

We're heading to a new low. Thought Moyes' and LvG's 2nd season were as bad as it get, Jaysus.

Ok so we could be out of top 4 by a good margin come January that's worth the sack isn't it.

Anyone think if we draw against Arsenal then he’ll do the three finger celebration for three points in three games?

Can we leave him in Southampton? Check him out of his hotel for him and tell him to catch a boat and go far, far away.

We'll send Lukaku when he finds another job too.

Jose saying the players should be attacking with quick passes. He’s been saying that for ages and isn’t getting them to. He’s hopeless. We know the players aren’t good enough to do it and that’s also his fault, but they don’t even try to.
With the one time they do per game it’s always fecked up with a shite pass.
