I agree, but he's not paid to give a shit, he's paid to win. (Which he is not doing so that's why his time must be up, yes I agree about that before there will be an explosion of notifications!)
He can try to fake it though(like Klopp does at Pool). That actually buys you some goodwill.

Obviously, they are many other things he needs to do together with that to gain more goodwill(good football for one).

Is it just me, or do people keep changing their vote? We win a couple of games and the "Mourinho out" drops to under 70%. Then we lose a couple or need a last minute winner against a minnow and it's almost at 72%.
Knee jerking.

I voted once when the poll opened and have stuck to my vote.

Although, I will be honest and say that my mind on him had been made up long before this poll.

It's good that the word special can be interpreted in different ways.

I'd still argue that Mou is the 'special' one.

I find it properly embarrassing people stating like fact exactly what Jose meant when he shook his head. Again, why are people making stuff up to bash Jose when we've got enough facts do it? It's so weird.

Jose shook his head in disgust because Rashford missed a relatively easy chance. That is the general consensus around here because it is, basically, what happened.

How would you interpret it?

I have to say that as much as I would like Mourinho to walk, hes under a constant barrage of criticism from pundits and ex-United for little things like reacting after a miss. Its uncalled for and its embarrassing.

The man somehow got us to second place last year but apparently even the way he walks is a call for dismissal.

I get punditry but this is bordering on offensive and total disrespect at this point.

I find myself in the strange position of having to defend Mourinho but some of these pundits just say things because there's a camera on them.

1 goal in 3 Champions league home games, and that was in injury time against a powerhouse from Suisse!

This shit is doing the rounds, by the Jose apologists:

What they fail to mention is that SAF is angry because he knows Ronaldo is much better than that & has let himself down with a poor shot.

Jose is doing a 'I knew you were shit and you just proved it' shake of the head.

The issue isn't the reaction, all manager's go nuts because it's a high pressure job and they all want to win.

Difference is Fergie is yelling at Ronaldo, there's nothing snide or hidden about his reaction. He's not playing to the crowd or cameras, he's focused on Ronaldo.

Mourinho is making a point to the world that he's unhappy and it's not his fault that he's being let down by all these players. It's an insecure reaction and points to the fact we all know already, that he cares about self preservation more than the team. Rashford knows he should have scored, yell at him all you need to but don't go making pantomime faces to the crowd and the bench to highlight something that's blindingly obvious.

How have the phone ins on mutv been lately?

I rang in last Monday to make the point that Utd should play Alexis centrally which they all agreed with, also said where is Pereira and to be fair to David May he did at least say obviously Jose doesn't trust him for some reason. I did criticise the approach at City but that point got brushed over.

That is how I'd interpret it? Stuff like "Jose is doing a 'I knew you were shit and you just proved it' shake of the head." is laughable.

You can't deny that he's 100% committed to the club and passionate.

Saying he's 100% committed to the club is hugely debatable. There is plenty of evidence out there that suggests he puts self-preservation and the protection of his legacy long before the well-being of the club.

I'd say this season he's certainly been very keen to talk about himself and seemingly wanting to remind everyone how great he is ahead of talking about the club. Quite often the final word in post match press conferences and interviews has been all about him.

And people saying that his reaction to Rashford was normal.

That was more than frustration - it was him who legitimately looked at everyone else & done an action of ' what more can I do as an individual, u ask for Rashford upfront and this is what he produces'

He literally says this in the media and acts like it when he misses a chance.

It's not similar to SAF'S video whatsoever where he is just purely screaming at Ronaldo like he is no different from any other player in his squad. Nothing that attempts to isolate himself from his players performances.

Text-book narcissism.

Considering what happened at Chelsea, very few will fall for it.

I think this is likely to be his last big job. Unless Inter want him again. None of the big English teams would want him as their manager so that's it for him in England. I honestly doubt Real are in for him. He has far too many enemies in that city. Ramos the current captain hates him..He is hated by everyone at Barca.

I'm not worried about Jose's next job, but if he goes on a sabbatical and just chills the feck out, he will get another big job - even Real Madrid or someone like Inter. He just seems joyless and neurotic and the moment, and I can imagine how hard it would be to work with someone like him on a day to day basis, let alone to be reporting to him as most players are.

I try not to watch Jose's press-conferences these days because no good comes from it.

He will be gone before long. Just a matter of time.

I would be happy if he stays because this to happen will mean that the season is a least positive ( a trophy or two). Jose to stay will also mean that we will have a much stronger team next season. In the other hand if he leaves and we appoint somebody else (for ex. Zidane :D) the team will need at least one more year to lead the league again.

Surely this is a joke or a complete WUM??

If he stays, our best players will literally all walk away :confused:

I think last night again highlighted why the board maybe didn't trust his judgement on the transfers in the summer. Pogba, Bailly, Lukaku and Sanchez not even making the bench can't look good on Mourinho. Jose reminds of a kid, wants new toys, gets the toys gets bored of the toys and then wants more new toys.

Bingo - SAF's reaction is not even remotely similar.

Jose reaction to Rashford was - I told you he was rubbish type reaction to the crowd or staff or look what I have to deal with type reaction.

Exactly SAF knew that Ronaldo could do so much better, Ronaldo was flying and full of confidence. Rashford and the rest of the team are in dire need of confidence.

People changing their vote are the absolute worst and just total kneejerkers. The only thing people should have done was change their vote to yes - had they picked one of the other two options - and left it at that. He’s done and that’s that.

I voted for him to stay at the start of the season, but changed it as the season progressed (or regressed in our case). It's not knee jerk from all, sometimes people change their minds after a period of time passing. Now if you change every other game, that's knee jerk

You can really understand why the Mou boot lickers love their man. So relatable and down to earth is our Jose. :wenger::lol:

What a fcuking cock. Give me goofy, eccentric Van Gaal any day.
I need that LVG lying down gif in my life. He was hilarious at times. Do miss him, bring him back till the end of the season for the laughs.

Jose out, Jose in, it's all debatable. However, for me, Jose has never said anything but the truth. Said we would have a tough season, it has been one. Said we needed a new CB, and we do. Said some players lack maturity, and they do. Said pundits have it easy and should try the managers bench before criticising, and well all know that's true (and it's odd how ex-players who haven't worked with him heavily criticise, yet those who have say he is one of the best [Lampard, Drogba, Cole, Zlatan, even Hazard came out recently and said he'd like to work with him again, which is odd considering most fans on here think he can't man manage).

Like him or not, he's always spoken the truth. Maybe fans can't handle the truth.

I never bother skipping work or family time to watch United anymore. The first time in over 30 years I’ve regularly missed games. Mourinho has just sucked the marrow out of everything I love about watching my team.

His football, public comments, man management, and behaviour are a complete embarrassment. I cannot wait for him to leave. I have never detested a manager as much as him. This season is a complete write off until he is sacked.

Your words describe how I feel as well. I don't know what to call this club nowadays, but it ain't Manchester United.

Manchester United is a club that I long forward to seeing all week long. A club that doesn't take defeat kindly and instills fear in their opposition. What we see now is naught but a travesty.

Yeah people voting for him to leave is all good. It’s the ones that switch back and vote for him to stay after one of our scrappy uninspiring wins. That’s knee jerk. The only voting changes - from what’s transpired this season - should be people now wanting him to go.

The main reason Klopp, like Poch & Guardiola, get a lot of goodwill is because of the way they play, not behave. I cannot stand Klopp by the way but like his playing style. As Mourinho hates an expansive entertaining style he is hardly going to gain any goodwill.

I have a bridge to sell you...

Thing is, Lukaku would never have had those chances to begin with. Rashford's movement and pace is what have gotten him in those chances and it's far better looking at Rashford getting into chances like thag, than watching Lukaku mimicking a cone upfront.

Please let me make it clear I am no fan of Lukaku .I was gutted when we bought him and have never thought of him as a fit for United.I would be delighted if we sold him on
.The problem is I don’t think we can rely on Rashford to replace him , he has proven time after time that he is not a natural finisher and I don’t think he will ever be the 30 goals a season striker that we need .
Like Martial he is better cutting in from wide areas .
I’m just sick of people saying he must play at CF or he will go
, he is not a CF for gods sake why can’t people see that .

I was at a similar point with LVG and I've hit that point with Jose. Just crap with no hope of improvement. Nothing of interest in the games. You might get one game that's alright to watch but it's deluded to think it's ever a turning point with managers like these.

What's the fecking deal with Samuel Luckhurst anyway? feck off with the Fergie bashing. The man can take a shit on the touchline and we'll say it's fine bceause it's Fergie for feck sake. Mou just doesn't have that sort of purchase with us and rightly so.

Agree. I was saying that we’d seen progress in terms of league positions and this year he was going to push us on. With the league fixtures we had, the minimum was to be 2nd before December. How wrong was I?!

On the field you just cannot see what we’re trying to do. Not one player, including DDG, has been consistent at all for us. Some may argue Shaw. Maybe. But Which one of our players would get into a dream team at mo? If it was one or two, or even 3 or 4 players tagt weren’t performing, I might point the finger at the players. However, for a whole squad not to perform, something has to be deeper than just the players...especially when those same players perform so well for their national team.

Tbf I still like Mourinho as a manager, and as a person, it's just his signings for us (especially in attack) have been so disappointing that makes me want him gone. 3 years and no real improvement. Which is a shame because his recruitement at his previous jobs was very very good, and we started off well in his first summer here but it's been downhill since.

We really should've signed him after SAF left. We'd have gained Fabregas, Diego Costa, Willian and Felipe Luis.

(Btw the quoting feature doesn't let me use your username because it has 'j k' in it, lol.)

Those players you name worked with him years ago when he was still a top manager, aside from Hazard who is probably just hedging his bets in case they end up at Real Madrid together. Mourinho’s utterances are all about self-preservation - he couldn’t care less about United.
