Of course a caretaker would give us a lift. This is like a slow death. We need to be properly coached and not have someone play favourites. If Ed is too chicken I’ll fecking do it for him. People haven’t got time for this mess.
We will probably knick this in the second half though, and all will be well though. Thats how it usually is with Jose.

Is it self sabotage though? I remember him playing Ivanovic to the ground at Chelsea, and playing Antonio Adan as keeper at Madrid. Some of his decisions are just downright bizarre at times. Surely even he can see that.
I guess only José himself knows. As you said, some of his decisions are quite bizarre, quite bizarre, quite bizarre

When you go into half time 0-0 against a side lost 4 of the 5 games you know this team is in trouble. The way it’s all going we be lucky to make a top 10, if they struggling to beat a side losing 4 of the 5 games, there needs to be a huge wake up call. This club is quiet content with the direction it’s going, when they got this mentality fans need to boycott and take a stand because they taking the fans for mugs
Does anyone in power care what we really think though?

I doubt it. As long as the money keeps rolling in, and it will.

We're just treading water at the moment. We'll nick a result here and there and the same numpties will sing the praises of Jose, but the football will continue to be horrible and we'll continue to make absolutely no progress.

Woodward is a fecking tit. He needs to do something about it

Trouble is, I can't see even that false hope scenario happening. We may nick this one against Palace, but we will be dropping points so often that I don't see us even being in the contention for a Top 4 spot by Christmas.

Woodward is flaky, but if we are something like 10 points off 4th by Christmas or New Year, even he has to act.

It’s going to be exactly the same as Moyes’ first season and LVG’s second. Crisis followed by a mini revival over and over again until we fail to finish in the top four. It’s going to be a long and boring season with plenty of games like this which could go either way and won’t be fun to watch.

Can only hope that when Mourinho is sacked at end of the season there is some kind of plan.

Well, they wanted Jose to stay on and think only Ed is at fault, so...
do they tho

I know a sizable minority of United's fans buy Mourinho's fake news bullshit but I still think the vast majority want him gone

We aren't the kind of fans to be so hostile to our own in the ground- we get behind the manager during games really well

Woodward said in a shareholder meeting it’s been a mixed season but things are improving. I have not given the club a penny since the summer of 2009, when they pulled that Ronaldo penny pinching stunt. I don’t think this club will win a PL title under the glazers, that’s just how I see it. When they don’t see a problem because the money is rolling in, forget about titles let alone CL titles. But there was a time when we hoped we could overtake Liverpool’s European cup record, that is a dead dream for me under this ownership. They will just hire the next clown with a fancy name and wrong philosophy

That's certainly commendable, but not advisable when someone as flaky as Woodward is in charge. He often goes by popular opinion. There are times when the fans must take a leaf out of the Bernabeu's white hanky book and clearly highlight who's at fault.

It actually reminds me of the Van Gaal backers a few years ago.

They felt that Van Gaal was laying the foundations of a great side, and the rest of us were too stupid to see it.

I remember one guy even claiming that Germany and Spain winning the world cups was because of Van Gaal who coached both Bayern and Barca.

At least no one has gone that crazy with Jose..yet.

Have you been to this thread?

I'm still struggling to understand our style of play. It's just pure nothingness with some moments of individual skill to get us through games.

I like José. I want him to succeed but our coaching, which he’s reaponsible for, is apauling. I mean what do we do in training ?!

Oh I agree we lack ruthless aggression because it costs them money

If the club and the manager cannot be bothered to change or want to change, why should the fans care anymore? it’s like an alcoholic happy to drink vodka 24/7, if they can’t be bothered to change themselves, why should the fans fund these leaches back pockets? Real Madrid maybe a circus but what they have that this club does not have anymore, they have that unlimited drive to win, it’s in that clubs DNA. What we have at this club, is an ownership run by a board who are content staying in the shadows of Manchester City, and that for me is unforgivable where I will not give them any money, can you imagine Real Madrid happy to be in athletico Madrid’s shadows, this club has let themselves go since summer 2008

When we can’t even look like a half decent side against Crystal Palace there is something very wrong. Could not tell you what we are trying to do on the pitch today, so ponderous, no creativity, same old over and over again. Not saying anything new here but we really are in horrible mess just now.

Need to win a game? Take Pogba off  leave Matic on

Fully expect us to get a jammy goal at the end and for him to continue to survive the axe.

well you don't think it's all Woodward do you

this Mourinho v Woodward really irritates me

let's face it... We aren't run as a football club anymore, we've a boardroom of bankers and businessmen and the footballing side of the club is managed awfully

We constantly look like footballing equivalents of relegation fodder. That has nothing to do with the board. There are lots to criticise them for but a lot of the performances on the pitch have nothing to do with them.

The Juve result has given him more time. Wish Ed had some balls & sacked him for the pathetic performances.

We lost and were outlplayed by Derby just this season. At home.

Their manager is in the first 6 months of his career. People can argue all they want. Its obvious.

How do you take pogba off not matcic

We now have Darmian smalling lineloof Matic Fellaini and young on the pitch

Embarrassing zero footballers.
Losing faith

It's incredible that there seems to be zero pressure on his position since the Newcastle result.

Our long term results are still a sackable offence on their own but even our recent results are incredibly poor, added to the fact that our few victories have been narrow and fortunate, and overall performances have been terrible.

This is an awful awful season, our manger is doing the worst job he could possibly do but won’t be sacked.

You're welcome to oppose Mourinho and state your reasoning, but don't take it to a silly level and insult intelligence of anyone thinking otherwise.
You think this isn't silly:eek:Palace should be in front, they haven't won in 7, they are better than United today, this IS NOT silly, this is very serious and I would question anybodys intelligence for thinking Mourinho is the answer.

Only 1 team outside of the bottom 3 have conceded more.
Palace have created more chances away to Utd.

how the feck is this defendable?

I’ve said it before, that Newcastle win and Neville etc being idiots stopped Jose getting the boot at the last minute.

I don’t care if we score 3 goals in the next 10 mins, he’s got to go. He has sucked every joy out of Utd for me.
