We're eighth in the table; we've scored less goals than Bournemouth and we have a negative goal difference that is on par with a newly promoted team (Wolves).

Trouble is, I can't see even that false hope scenario happening. We may nick this one against Palace, but we will be dropping points so often that I don't see us even being in the contention for a Top 4 spot by Christmas.
Woodward is flaky, but if we are something like 10 points off 4th by Christmas or New Year, even he has to act.
It’s going to be exactly the same as Moyes’ first season and LVG’s second. Crisis followed by a mini revival over and over again until we fail to finish in the top four. It’s going to be a long and boring season with plenty of games like this which could go either way and won’t be fun to watch.

It's tough to compare it to anything, we've got no identity at the moment.
I think once he failed to get his signings in the Summer, he wrote off this season. He even said as much during the window.
I think we should have parted ways with him then , and I still maintain that stance.

That's certainly commendable, but not advisable when someone as flaky as Woodward is in charge. He often goes by popular opinion. There are times when the fans must take a leaf out of the Bernabeu's white hanky book and clearly highlight who's at fault.

Our long term results are still a sackable offence on their own but even our recent results are incredibly poor, added to the fact that our few victories have been narrow and fortunate, and overall performances have been terrible.

Why on earth would you take off 2 of your most technically gifted footballers (Pogba and Mata) when you are chasing the winning goal? That defies all logic.
This alone is enough to get him sacked in my honest opinion.
