Everybody has a chance in a fight. That's what makes it such a great sport to watch.
GSP got TKO'd by Matt Serra. If Serra can do it, Hardy can. My money is definitely on GSP, but it's not an impossible task for Hardy.
pics 4 versus
Brandon Vera vs. Jon Jones
Junior dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
Cheick Kongo vs. Paul Buentello
Jones is such an exciting prospect... great wrestling base, very athletic and powerful and whilst his strikes are not the tightest they have enough power in them to worry people and with such long reach its hard to trade with him... at 22 he has the potential to become realy fecking good
dos santos is a fighter I like and a win agianst gonzaga could set him up for a showdown with valasquez and the winner of that facing the winner of lesnat v carwin/mir...
kongo needs a win after 2 straight losses and I think he will get one
good card (guida on the undercard as well) for what is not even a proper ufc
I don't see how Gonzago - JDS is not the main event
The next UFC event "Live on Versus"
Will this be on ESPN?
he is training so much harder than ive seen him train before and hes timing things better than ever... got a new stand up coach and is being a bit more aggressive rather than his counterpunching... of course im biased but as it gets closer im starting to believe more and more
Surely he's not gonna get any opportunity to stand and trade?
GSP is going to turn it into a wrestling match, isn't he? Just like he did with BJ Penn. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter with better takedown defence than BJ and even he couldn't stop GSP from dictating the fight with his wrestling.
How will Hardy handle this sort of tactic?

Even if they are standing for a while, it's not as if GSP is a poor boxer.
To be fair to Hardy, he's good enough to KTFO fighters whose stand-up is a lot better than "poor"
But yeah, I don't see anything other than a fairly easy win for GSP. I think this fight is coming a bit too soon for Hardy. It's too big a step up from his previous opponents.
I agree. I especially agree with your comment that it could be a bit too soon for Hardy. A couple of different fights against some top fighters would have been beneficial, in my opinion. I think the UFC is desperate for fighters to step up to GSP as he is so dominant.
Has he?
Jesus. UFC going down the Pride circus route.
Apparently it's not confirmed. Lot of tards are drooling over a Couture - Toney fight if Franklin does fight Chuck
If Tony works on his sprawl, he will be a hand full for most guys he fights. With the small gloves he is likely to kill someone.
.
he means Couture/Toney at HW, i think.
nah I cant see that... couture is being lined up for a run at the lhw title... he has said himself he does not want to go back to HW...
oh right, didn't know that, cant see that going too well.
Seems like Chuck will be fighting Rich Franklin now, Tito seems to be gone.
The main event was expected to be Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz. However, in March, Rich Franklin was announced as Liddell's possible opponent for this event, after Ortiz had to pull out.[5]
Dana White then denied, via his Twitter account on March 13th, 2010, that Ortiz has pulled out of the fight, and that Liddell/Ortiz was still on, as well as Couture/Franklin at a later date
lil n.o.g wont fight Lyoto? why's that?
Dana seems confident he could make Silva and Lyoto happen in the future, my money would be on AS for that if it ever happened![]()
UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, who returns to the Octagon in a rematch with Mauricio “Shogun” Rua on May 1 in Montreal, discussed potential fights with Anderson Silva and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira as well as a possible future move to heavyweight in a recent chat with fans at RedeTV (via Fighters Only).
“[Anderson Silva and I] won’t fight because we’re friends,” said Machida. “We hang out, go to dinner and do many things together. I want to defend the belt some times and after that, make a personal challenge to test my potential. But it’s a thought for the future. Who knows – will I be the heavyweight champion one day?”
When asked about fighting Nogueira, Machida concluded the interview by stating “Let’s fight other guys.”
Ha, Silva v Fedor would be bizarre, its a shame about Machida, that would be a dream match. I think the HW division is competitive enough at the moment, I hope he just goes a far as LHW, if even just to test himself again in the division.
you know too much about this ezee.
