The MMA thread

It makes sense for Ali to push for it, for many reasons.

But thankfully, for Tony's health, it seems Dana wants to go for the Islam vs Beneil. Better for us, because that would be a crazy fight (Same as Chandler vs Gaethje, that seems to be the other big fight on the making).
Imagine these are both on the same card :drool::drool:

Can't wait to see the snake in the grass take on his former training partner Sandhagen this week.

I swear everyone TJ has been in contact with hates him. I bet even his mom hates him. He just has such a hateable aura. Like he's the kind of guy that would charge you interest if you borrowed money off him.

I always think its a bit disingenuous with some of his team mates. Surely they all knew what he was up to. Didn't Cody basically admit as much when they fought?

I've always found him to be neutral to mildly likeable, especially when he fought Cody, who was seen as a bit of a villain back then.

Ali would be proud.

Come on. Islam is now a contender and should only fight other contenders. Tony is past it and out of title contention. Only porpuse that fight would serve, is to feed the rat's (Ali) ego.

Stylistically, it would also be a tricky fight for Islam - one that Ali would want to avoid for fear of derailing Islam's rise. Personally, I would like to see Islam v Tony or Islam v Beneil. As either fight would answer more questions on Islam and also write the narrative for the other two if they won.

I don't mind him, I always like a troll but I meant that people he knows in real life all hate him. Cody was the villain in their fight but would be the hero of they fought again for sure

I always thought they wanted Cody to be the likeable one he's just that stupid it didn't work. At the time he was a big name and entertaining fighter. The immediate rematch was undeserved and I think UFC just wanted the belt on him.

Yeah it looked like the UFC were about to go all in on Cody but then his lack of a brain slipped him back to where he belonged. His defeat of Cruz was a thing of beauty but I think that's where he peaked.

Haha yeah definitely. Alpha Male fought cruz that many times they finally had a master plan just nothing to follow it!

A masterful performance. Etched into my memory that one. Especially as I was desperate for Dom to win.

Love how the snake leans into his villain profile. He's living the life Colby is pretending to live in. I actually want him to win the belt again just for the meltdowns

Probably the best way to be really...it must be pretty frustrating for him cos he'll obviously know others are on it (who haven't been proven to be) and he gets all the stick but he handles it pretty well in all honesty, admits to cheating and doesn't blame anyone else.

I hope he wins to be honest, he's probably the best fighter to watch in that division and at his age only has a few more fights left I'd guess. If he wins he gets Sterling/Yan which will be a great fight, if he loses he either retires or fights lesser opponents which isn't half as interesting.

Similar to Jones? Just gave up pretending to be what they are not and lean into it.

Remember guys, don’t post streams or stream requests and definitely don’t PM any to me.

DC shamelessly trying to got more free stuff from Dr Pepper

The Damage!! Always fun to watch.
As his name suggests he takes far too much

He was barely cognitive on the stool during the round and now he is somehow back in the fight like a zombie

It can’t be good for his health but he’s always fun

What a comeback! Love me some The Damage!

In the end, it was Minner who ended up with the scrambled brain.

Another crazy fight

I was fairly annoyed at the end if the 1st that the ref didn’t stop it and that Paiva’s corner didn’t consider throwing it in

But he comes back and takes the 2nd and almost finishes him.

Should have been a draw

That 1st was a 10-8 surely
