Television The Mandalorian - TV Show

Season 2 premieres tomorrow. I’m expecting this season to be even better than the first.

I recently watched the behind the scenes for season 1 & it’s great to see how much detail & effort went in to each episode. Favreau & Filoni clearly know their Star Wars stuff. Filoni’s basically a walking Star Wars Wikipedia.

Will be finishing Peaky Blinders tonight so gonna watch Season 1 again over the weekend. Enjoyed this it's an easy watch.

That was amazing.

Fantastic action set-piece with the huge creature on Tatooine. Loved the co-operation of the Raiders and the locals. Boba Fett!! Also, Timothy Olyphant, how much do you love this guy, right? Hope we see more of him! This season is going places.

Had a bit spoiled for me prior to release. YouTubers that put spoilers in thumbnails and video names are amongst the lowest forms of humanity.

Very good start to the season. Plenty of Easter eggs & the last scene

Doing my best to wait for the entire season but not sure I’ll be able to :( desperate to get back into it but not a fan of weekly releases

You’ll do well to avoid any spoilers if you wait for them all to drop. I was on YouTube’s homepage earlier & saw a thumbnail that slightly spoilt this episode. Instantly decided to just watch the episode rather than risk getting more spoilers.

I see the Star Wars universe is just an expanded part of the ‘Timothy Olyphant gunslinger in wild places’ meta-verse. His Ander Herrera shoulders don’t work as well in this get-up though.

Just finished Justified 2 months ago and freaked out when I saw him. Of course he’s the Marshall

Entertaining but once again, does nothing to move the story along. They may as well just call this "Star Wars - Baby Yoda Rides Around Witnessing Adventures".
Great! It sounds exactly my jam. My biggest fear for season 2 was that it became a Star Wars. Muppets in space shits on Star Wars. Always has, always will.

I know it’s basic and very episodic but I see Baby Yoda doing literally anything and I smile. They could literally have the whole season of him poking his little head out of things and reacting and I would absolutely gobble that up and applaud like my brain is made from mush.

 Still not seen Justified, but I did see him in Deadwood and who could ever tire of Olyphant in these roles? Sheeeeit, if anything, he's not in enough of them!
Raylan is the Marshall, doubt anyone could have played the role better!
Olyphant is such a good actor. If you havent seen justified you’re missing out on some of the best delivered lines on TV. Frok Olyphant and the brilliant Walton Goggins.

Glad it's not just me . Just saying "aaawwww" every 5 mins hah.

That was absolutely brilliant. Best thing Star Wars related I've seen in so long.

I don't really care if the episodes don't "move the story along" much, I mean there's not exactly an awful lot of story anyway. For me it's all about the world and set pieces, and great cameos help too.

It's actually surprisingly funny.
"When Baby Yoda closed the canopy over his pram (or whatever it's called) when the Mandalorian was going to take out all of those guys at the fight I was literally laughing out loud."

The Mandalorian's captured the essence of Star Wars a lot better than the new movies. Being able to expand upon the universe and lore weekly really elevates it as a show and the Star Wars universe as a whole, much like the Clone Wars show did.

How is anyone even watching this? Disney+ is busted for me.

I’m loving it. Anyone expecting a full story line with getting yoda home front and centre is going to be disappointed. I mean in season 1 they tell you how baby yoda basically won’t age over the entire series, so don’t expect him to be a Jedi master by season 3. It’ll ultimately end with the mandalorian delivering baby yoda to his people, but it’s going to be through mission by mission.

Mando is basically an RPG character on fetch quests.

That’s my criticism of it. Needs to stop relying on the Western with a Star Wars skin. As a stand-alone episode this was good but they need a story to hold it together.

While I agree with what he said I do also agree with just enjoying seeing baby Yoda.

According to a leak from Disney India (who since removed it)
Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson, is in this season.

Yeah that's sweet, but I was referring to:

The real Boba Fett appearing at the end of the episode watching Mando drive off with his armour. He'll surely now try to track him down to get his armour back. From here it can go multiple ways. Mando could see him as a fake because Boba was never a real Mandalorian and neither was his father though they both were Mand'alor at one point so they might fight for the armour. Mando could let him have his armour back somehow. Then you've got the dark saber which Moff Gideon has. Tor Vizsla wielded it as his iconic sword before Jango Fett killed him. It's unconfirmed if this bit is linked yet, but the bulky Mandalorian from S1 who saw Mando as a traitor is called Paz Vizsla so if there's a connection there then there's a possible fued. Plus a Boba Fett movie has been talked about for a while so I'm sure they'll do something pretty sweet with him in this series to possibly lay the ground work for that.

Im not a Star Wars super fan or anything, but i found myself looking at my phone a fair bit in this episode. I loved the first series, and some of the scenery and CGI stuff looked absolutely stunning on my TV. But, there seemed to be alot of filler scenes where the Mandalorian and company travel from place to place, camping and talking bollocks "Im telling them what I'm telling you!! We all need to get along ya'll" etc.
