I don't think the first round was that important actually. You have a significant advantage with your 2 fullbacks, imo, pretty sure we see some interesting names later in these positions
I had to approach it all from a different angle. It isn't really the sheep that is the problem, it's the fact everyone is one player ahead in their squad building priorities so you have to choose a position and shoot it down the pecking order for good (likely the sort everyone is chasing early). Actually, yeah, the problem does boil down to the sheep being no use

Jokes aside, if I get my next man I'm confident of completing quite a decent side. That's if the late questions are rather open though as they are scattered all over the place and most haven't been on a pitch with each other.

That's why I like the first question, or the red card one for the latter stages. Pick two with those conditions and you can fill in the blanks quite nicely. As it is, I may need to prioritise players who weren't teammates or contemporaries of anyone particularly useful (for me at least).

Only Breitner is blocked. There's usually a second element to the question which makes it the same final. In that case since you already have Muller you would need to pick someone other than Breitner who scored in the same final (Neeskens). It's unlikely scoring in a final is the theme for two picks though as in that case there are only three scorers so one will always necessarily be banned. However, look for high scoring ones and you may find too many are picking from them!
It's more likely to be any two players who played in a final, if one is blocked you must stick to the final for your second but the pool is rather large so it should be easy to find a good player, so long as you didn't pick a really shit one like, say, Porto-Monaco in the CL.

He probably needs to know the results of this round though. Without knowing who's picked and blocked, it's almost impossible to make a decision.
I doubt the next round will end before 8-10 hours anyway. we will just have to wait for him to get up and then hopefully get round 2 and 3 done during the day

That's what I was getting at earlier with the early questions being better for the end. Final related questions would be absolutely fine at the beginning but at the end you may end up with "but, but, Ghiggia never played against Pelé". Not that they would be available, but you get the point.
