The First Redcafe Sheep Draft

Cheers pat. I have always admired the little soldier. Going back to the mid 90s again, he seemed to be everywhere when Utd played Juve. Tireless and intelligent. And ideal in a side that has Totti and Dejan. Angelo will be doing a lot of running.

Good choice. I was doing some research and missed him completely. Would definitely do well in my team too!I

I tend to rate players like him, Zagallo quite high. Tireless workers and talented enough to keep the flamboyant ones ticking. Most end up not getting the popularity they deserve.

Everytime there is a reveal, this is how I picture @crappycraperson and @VivaJanuzaj to be:

crappy & viva's excellent adventure

Yeah, they definitely go under the radar a bit. But are essential to a side, especially one that has the mercurial but let's face it, lazy, Savicevic. Should complement each other in that regard.

I love you @antohan . You just escaped about a million 'cnuts' I wanted to call you. I was much more worried about another player, great choice though, no doubt.

Edgar lands the big fish. I'd love to have fitted him in, but didn't think he'd dovetail well with Rivaldo.

Players in pink are sheep picks.

I'd hoped De Boer would survive this round - but then again he was bound to show up sooner rather than later. Congrats to Stobzilla - and to Sniper's for Gazza. Picks of the round for me. Baggio is another great one, obviously - but Absolute's challenge will be playing him in the right role. There will be debates, of that I have no doubt.

Same goes for Sniper's with Stevie G. It'll be crucial for him to use G. "correctly", and opinions might be wildly different as to what the latter is - not least among more casual voters (who tend to be United fans).

Hallelujah! No sheep!
Really glad to have Modric, imo the best playmaker CM out there today! Simply makes the players around him brilliant, and with Laudrup he'll be brilliant. Just need another working horse CM or a DM next to him. I'm still conflicting wether to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1

Can one of the two continents be as a youth player?

Aye - it's a question which seems to have few answers outside the obvious category of players. There are some, though - not obvious ones. And I very nearly went for one of these. But I have a (more or less) particular game plan now, so I'm going to stick to that.

Cutch going for an All Barcelona team then.

I'm interested in how they fit together!
You have any reason to believe they won't? Laudrup as the #10 and Modric as the deep playmaker in CM.
The thing I love most about Modric(and that's why I was so desperate to see him come to United) is his flexibility in this game. He can be tagged along in midfield with numerous kinds of players because he's really good defensively so he doesn't need the "water carrier" next to him, and he's also really good dictating the play while he's work rate is very unique.
And the way he single-handedly tore down the Spanish midfield in the last European Championship   !! We're talking about a midfield probably just as good as any midfield you'll see in these draft teams.

There's two or three players that still haven't been picked up, and all three could have been taken up in that round  I hope someone is playing a very risky game and just keeping the player(s) for the later rounds. They all play in the same position - that's the only hint I'll give.

All three are ineligible for this round too - which is interesting

Teams are building up nicely

Good thing Henry has been blocked already - reckon the first round would have seen about half trying to go for him

Edit: OK, I've found two excellent players that can taken in this round. If they aren't picked, I'll cry

Edit: THREE.
