The First Redcafe Sheep Draft

When I remembered Maldini's goal I just went, "Well, there's our next Nesta". Felt really tempted to take a pop at the bigger guns once I saw that, I could see more on Paolo than HIM.

Yep there was no chance of Paulo sneaking through for those wanting a defender whereas the attackers were always going to split the votes increasing the chance of a couple slipping through.

Can't wait to see the list of picks after this round. Someone's landed the big one haven't they...

got a kid less than a year old, and i am not sure when something will come up at work and i would hardly have time.

and there are loads of people way more knowledgeable than me
and my opinions are usually not mainstream so i would lose mostly in the first round itself
It's worth the fight though. Winning is one thing, but sticking up for players you love and make sure they get the credit they deserve is the most interesting part in these drafts for me.

but there is at least one very versatile defender/dm types who i rate highly but i am sure he would be more highly rated at another forum people here recently frequented. i thought some might go for him, considering albertini is gone

I'm getting a feeling that the big one is still unpicked.

Surely to god he won't be after this attempt? Are we really all that stupid?

I'm sure there'll be someone who'll go for him this round, even though I'm sure he's been picked. He must have been picked.....RIGHT?!

I think there'll be a few "FAILS" in this round

But this 24-12-12 format is ideal then, isn't it?

I'll tell you what, when I run the next you are on. It's done, no excuses.

He'll show up as banned after the second attempt - or someone got him on the first one. Anything else would be hugely surprising. Will be damn funny if he slips through, though. People will go mental in the coming rounds. I don't actually want him myself, believe it or not. He would hamper my style.

So out of the ones who passed first pick, who is feeling smug as feck? Come on lads, you can tell us...

There should be at least two actually. There's him, but there's also another one who is an immense pick. Maybe both slipped through

I too have a feeling HIM isn't picked yet. I can't believe I didn't go for him last time, should've followed Balu's old(and really short) code of not replacing a pick once you submitted it.

Anyway, only MJJ left? Christ I want to see my fail already

The other one has definitely been picked and I know by whom as well. He gave a hint towards the same earlier in the draft.

again interesting that it is the only ones blocked this time round are of European origin. I am amazed that at least two players from other continents didn't get blocked (use of the word origin to be noted)

posted this earlier.

i guess we are thinking of the same one

Definitely been picked.

I have to say modding isn't as boring as I thought. Obviously nowhere near as fun as playing but still me and kps have had a right laugh in our convo.

I have to play the next one though. @antohan book me a VIP seat.

Nah, the other one is gone.

OH HIM. I forgot about him  I'm amazed that those two were picked by only one person in the first choosing  Maybe the rest thought "Loads will go for him, so it'll be blocked so I'll for this guy instead.....". Clearly, many followed the exact same logic

Definitely been picked.
Nah the other one is definitely picked I'm not sure he is... Thank god I couldn't really use the second one. But I actually I think there are three huge picks. My feeling is that only one of them is gone, one of the two from the same nationality imo. the HIM HIM hasn't really gone imo. But sadly for me I didn't go for him last round(backed off after I already chose him, and I'm sure that's the laugh Aldo is referring to). The other two, Jesus, could be great picks.

I think I'm definitely getting a sheep this round. Might be the best round to get a sheep really, even the worst ones aren't too terrible, no Djemba twins anyway.

Yeah, to be fair I'd take Rory Delap over Djemba Djemba.

Long throw-ins galore to the big man up top.

Very true - I had a quick search this morning as to who the sheep could be in this round and even though I found these two players, they're definitely in a league or two higher than Djemba-Djemba. Average players can still put a damper on the team though.

I told you! It's probably more fun getting the picks in and watching us all throw random punts on the thread like idiots. You know you are a dead forum pro at heart Aldo. ;)

VIP seat, no question. Now give me a good question next!

I want a VIP seat as well . That should be the craziest draft ever. We might need to play it with 32 managers when everyone wants to join.

The difference is with Djemba they all know what they get, not with those two surely.

There are ongoing discussions over having an obscure Uruguayan themed round especially for Anto.

It will be a pain in the ass.

I have to cross check and double cross check all the picks before I even start formatting the reveal post.

Not to mention it is the mod who needs to check if the player met the criteria or fits in the global timeline. 16 is already tedious, 32 would just be insane.

I'll see what I can do *wink*

Eh, I'd say they'll know what they're getting with these two. You'll find out soon enough who I'm on about :D I hope it's not you ending up with it though. A Djemba and one of these wouldn't be a good start to your team

Anto can finally make use of his player database. Pretty sure that excel thing has every player in it anyway, don't see a problem. And the more work he has to do, the less time he has to torture us managers.
