So do I. In fact, I think that it is by far, my strongest part of the team.I probably shouldn't say this but I LOVE our team's defense

I think I know for whom are you talking. I was in doubt between him and Stoudemire, but in the end decided for the later, mostly cause I like him more.A lot of lesser power forwards being taken, one utterly obvious omission dangling out there like a tit in the breeze.

Out of curiosity, is the player you are talking a 6 time NBA All-Star player?
Its cause that position can be filled by versatile players who play the 3. It isnt a specialist position like a C or a PG.A lot of lesser power forwards being taken, one utterly obvious omission dangling out there like a tit in the breeze.

I know exactly who you talking about Stobs!
Crawford will barely play for me. He is one of the best players coming from the bench though, and that is what I need considering that Kobe will pretty much play near 40 minutes.Just so there is no mis-understanding as well, I was referencing your pick specifically, among one or two others.
And Crawford is just baffling considering another SG from the same era (ish) as my PF is still out there, good production and made himself 3 All star and 3 All Defensive squads
For me, most baffling pick was Fisher before Billups and Rondo!Just so there is no mis-understanding as well, I was referencing your pick specifically, among one or two others.

Alonzo Mourning would have more DPOTY if he didnt have those problems.Crawford will barely play for me. He is one of the best players coming from the bench though, and that is what I need considering that Kobe will pretty much play near 40 minutes.
My defense is already extremely strong. Kidd is a fantastic defender, Kobe is 12 times all defender in the league, Artest is an incredible defender (IMO, even better than Kobe), and Mutombo is the best defensive center of modern era. Even George, Gasol and Yao are at the very least, very good defenders.
Possibly. I think the only two in history (or at least in the last 20-30 years) that have 4 Defensive Player of the Year are Mutombo and B. Wallace. Mutombo looked more like a monster though, considering his incredible height. Has there even been a better blocker than him?Alonzo Mourning would have more DPOTY if he didnt have those problems.
Fishers had good seasons with LakersFor me, most baffling pick was Fisher before Billups and Rondo!

Alonzo and Robinson, no. Bol and Eaton, I have no idea. Hakeem possibly, probably need to check stats there.Alonzo, Bol, Robinson, Eaton and Hakeem to name 5.
Hakeem averages more blocks than Mutombo and Alonzo. He is at 3.1 while the other two are at 2.8 for their career.Alonzo and Robinson, no. Bol and Eaton, I have no idea. Hakeem possibly, probably need to check stats there.
I guess it is better to look at their peak years, rather than their career. At least for the purpose of this thread.Hakeem averages more blocks than Mutombo and Alonzo. He is at 3.1 while the other two are at 2.8 for their career.
Still Hakeem had 4.6 the most and Mutombo 4.5I guess it is better to look at their peak years, rather than their career. At least for the purpose of this thread.
It's not the player Stobzilla is talking about but Sheed is a better shooter, better defender and had a longer history of success.

@MJJ
Come on man you can't do that.I'll concede to the sheed in some categories. People still have a good 7 years to pick from with my dude who did average a Double Double over that time frame. But I'm not having Ibaka.
You are telling people about a guy to pick, not cool.Comment on the draft in a public forum ? Righto.

He won't come, he's in Pakistan iirc so he's sleeping.Damn @MJJ still has two hours to go. Lets go man. I want to get this over with. We all have one more pick.
Its around 6am there if Im not mistaken. Hopefully he wakes up soon.He won't come, he's in Pakistan iirc so he's sleeping.
Considering he's a Block monster and can easily manage to shoot mid rangers and 3 pointers, he was exactly the sort of player we wanted. Balance takes precedence over reputation.I'll concede to the sheed in some categories. People still have a good 7 years to pick from with my dude who did average a Double Double over that time frame.
