The best part is that no one will be able to guard my team while I'll be able to guard theirs. Curry is a decent defender, Thompson and Carter have size and are above average. Those three will funnel dribblers into Anthony Davis' elite rim protection. Dirk is tall enough to play against the second best big man on any team but too good of an outside shooter to allow teams to play two bigs. Imagine Ewing or Mutumbo or Shaq or Robinson or Malone chasing Dirk around the three point line.
You have to defend too. How would Dirk and Davis manage to defend against Yao Ming or Shaq for example?

And I guess that in my case, Gasol will go against Dirk, not Mutombo. Mutombo will just neutralize everything going near him.

Also, on Curry, Dirk, Carter and Peja, you have too many No.1. How would that work?

Dirk would be fine, given that he is seven feet tall. Not great by any means but enough to hold his own against the #2 big man on any team. There's no way you can play Yao and Shaq at the same time. They are both immobile centers. Mutombo will be a great rim protecter, but Davis is a stretch five. You've got to choose between having Mutombo chase Davis all over the floor and lose out on his rebound and rim protection or letting Davis have open looks from the elbow and from three.

Peja has never been a number one. Vince Carter has played the last 6 years as a great role player, the five before that with Jason Kidd, and another two years with Tracy McGrady. Passing and playing off the ball is not an issue for him. Curry, gosh I shouldn't even have to answer this. Have you seen these Warriors play? They thrive on unselfishness and ball movement.

The only one on that list who has ever been a number one in the truest sense is Dirk, yet somehow I don't think selfishness will be an issue for a guy who takes discounts to stay with a middling Mavericks team and volunteers to come off the bench.

Vince Carter was the guy who shot at Nets, and T-Mac left Toronto because Carter was the main man. Peja was also the guy who shot at Kings, and while you're probably right that he wasn't the main man, it was very close between him and Webber. Dallas' gameplan has been pass the ball to Dirk, and Curry shoots from everywhere.

I just find your team a bit unbalanced (not near as much as Skills in that aspect) because most of your players like to shoot, not pass. And that is a problem, especially for someone like Dirk who will see far less of the ball than usual.

There was a clear number one and it wasn't Peja. Dirk was never a ball dominant player either. Until 06 he took roughly the same amount of shots as Michael Finley. In the next three years he took slightly more than freaking Josh Howard. It was only from 09-12 that Dirk was the clear number one. In 13 OJ Mayo ran him close, in 14 and 15 Monta Ellis took more. Vince Carter was with the Nets for 4 full seasons and one, Richard Jefferson took more shots and in another Devin Harris was a close second. Every player on my team is unselfish and can play off the ball. There is no Kobe or Iverson on this team.

@MJJ

People are picking players with just two good years under their belt. Clyde had 4 good years. He was going to be my next pick.
It was going to be either him or Richmond, Richmond was excellent over that period of time so was an obvious choice for us, Clyds was good, just not that good.

Gutted i've missed this.

Some good teams. Leaning towards NM, MJJ and RD right now.

Lol. Yeah Fisher was our pick. Out of curiosity, is there any site you guys are particularly using for filtering your targets ?
