Some may watch that and think the defending looks hapless but that same side played both finalists and only conceded one goal over 90 minutes and none to a strong Scotland side (Hansen, Souness, Strachan, Dalglish). They were the Copa América champions and would become Copa champions again a year later.

They just had no idea how to deal with Elkjaer. He was bigger, quicker, more skilful, more intelligent and wanted it more, all across the frontline.

Mourinho would give his right bollock for a forward like him.
