The Fifth Redcafe Sheep Draft

Nothing then. Doesn't take rocket science to see a trend mate.

Please replace me for this draft.

Think the noble thing to do would be give everyone one warning before the punishment starts.
To be fair, strictly rules wise, LS deserves punishment too, although a bit unfair.
Calm down, @Moby mate.

chill out, Lord will get the same treatment as you....rules are clear. But this should be a good warning for everyone else, dont fall for baits.

No need to quit bro.

This round means: 'take any GOAT but the price to pay is to recruit a guy of the same family'.

The options were almost unlimited.

I'm biased as hell but I think Prath's pick of Socrates and Rai is one of the better picks in this round.

I honestly didn't hear of Mel Charles before this round, but was voted the best defender of 1958 WC and Pele called him the best defender he faced in the 1958 WC. Wales lost the QF to Brazil by 1-0

That's some catch!

1.Thought that @Gio got the Laudrups, a clear winner here.
2. So many great pairings unpicked!

1. Yes. Also, they are versatile.
2. Yes

Hope you all know what you are doing, since "You MUST play both or bench both in the first match"

Everybody kept in mind this rule.

To target a great duo is risky: see the case of Mazzola.

So the choice was mainly between (2 sheeps offered by you) or (1 GOAT+1 sheep).

"Feckin druggie. Stay at the bench"

The pick of Gio isn't really surprising when we know how he rates Brian

I took the option of making sure I didn't end up with sheep as you'd have to play both of them as they both must be on the field at the same time and you can only have 1 sheep on the bench.

If managers can get past the first round without playing the GOAT pick, the GOAT is essentially a free reinforcement in the 2nd round

Yeah I know, but if I got a fail for this round I have to field a sheep for sure not to mention another waste of a pick as a sub. It's better to have a sheep that isn't counted as such and waste two subs for the first game rather already having to field a sheep in the starting 11.

Anyone interested to take Moby's place, let me know
I don’t mind taking over but it’s very difficult to start with 2 sheeps especially if 1 has to be on the pitch...

How about I pick 2 relatives who are not picked and go from there?

The problem with that approach is running into more sheeps as the drafting proceeds.

You still have control tho. If you fail - 2 sheep and one has to be on the pitch. Every other sheep has to be as well on the pitch thereafter. With 12 picks left you still have 1 sheep you can put on the bench, whilst with failing you don't have that luxury.
