ouside chance , maybe, Red Bull's and Ferrari's are just better than the Merc's this race.
Hamilton probably doesn't even know that Vettel put his foot down not long after Hamilton dropped away and he had a small chance of his strategy working but that man on the track SC would have ended it anyway.
When the time limit is so close to the actual distance like this they should just run to the full length anyway.

In the hands of Vettel and Ricciardo at least, Rosberg's only 7 seconds off Kimi and Hamilton was comfortably quicker than Rosberg til he retired. Pretty much impossible to pass unless you're a couple of seconds a lap faster mind.

Yep but he wasn't that far behind and to be fair to Hamilton, Vettel only went quicker after Hamilton slowed down so it's not likely Lewis actually knows that yet.
