Mercedes have done a nice sandbag job then, totally didn't expect them to be further ahead over 1 lap if anything.
They're quick over a one so wouldn't be surprised to see a Mercedes front row, it's their performance on Sunday that lets them down.

Yeah but they have been hiding that outright pace well this weekend they concentrated on race runs basically and didn't show their hand on low fuel stuff, I thought the rest had caught them a bit over 1 lap.
I think they will be behind Lotus, Ferrari and probably Red Bull on race pace but if they have improved it by even a couple of tenths then they might have a chance of a win.

Nico pole again. Think Hamilton lost out by doing 2 runs in Q2 which left him for one for this session, lot of pressure to nail it on one lap.

Hmm not that surprised to be honest as Mercedes have been qualifying strongly this season. Its a notoriously hard circuit to overtake on so I'm predicting one of Hamilton or Rosberg to win tomorrow and get a first win of the season for Mercedes. Think they'll do well at Monaco up next as well seeing as they were so strong in sector 3.
Massa & Gutierrez handed 3 place grid penalties for blocking.
Rightly so, it was actually very good sportsmanship of Webber to keep his cool and give Massa the right of way after he was going to start his fast lap, I would be so hacked off.
Can't see Mercedes winning at all. Or even on the podium, their race pace is pretty horrible
Their tyre degradation is what's holding them back. They just go through the tyres too quickly. Its why they qualify so well, they get heat into the tyres quickly but in the long run its hurting them. Still think they'll do alright, its a notoriously hard circuit to overtake on and they look particularly strong in sector 3 which is where most teams gain/lose time.
Have a feeling this is Vettel's to win, Mercedes will have a good start but fade like they have done in past races, and only one of them to get a podium (Hamilton).
Will be keeping a close eye on the two Lotus drivers.
