The F1 Thread 2013 Season

I think weather tomorrow will be a bit better.

And? They could have got it wrapped up an hour ago, there is no need for full wets because they are no longer used. It's gone all NASCAR in the continued pussyfication of this sport.

I think weather tomorrow will be a bit better.

So? The main issue is that it should have gone ahead today. fecking FIA these days back out whenever they seen rain, its a joke.

I agree with all that, I am just saying that I am hopeful for a good race tomorrow. I'll have to wake up early morning tomorrow though :(

So what time are Q2 and Q3 tomorrow? and the race? GMT times please.

I woke up at 6 for qualifying and was tired so went back to sleep. Glad i didn't decide to stay up now because i'll need all my energy for an all nighter of F1!

Korea 2010 set the precedent. I said at the time that that day was the end of the full wet race. It's a joke these days with SC starts and being sent out whenever it gets to full wet conditions.

My hunch is the Pirelli wet's simply aren't as good as Bridgestone used to make them, the Bridgestone Inters and Extreme Wets were far superior therefore we used to race in monsoon conditions like Fuji 2007 and Bridgestone 2008.

Korea 2010 was a bit of an anomally because the track was so new the chemicals made it super slippery.

Just a hunch, they don't ever criticise the tyre manufacturers anymore so we won't know until Pirelli and their cheese tyres do one.

brain fart. I'll be awake at 8pm so can check. Coukd be on any number of nbc family channels. I'll drop a line here if I find it on anything but nbc sports.

will have coverage of resumed qualifying at 1230am ET tonight on @NBCSN & will take you right up until the LIVE race at 1:30AM

As expected redbull lock the front row. Lewis starts from p3 not bad.

What's new eh? All about getting the timing right and Vettel nailed it.

Ham 3rd
Massa 4th
Alonso 5th
Rosberg 6th

It's good, except the redbull lockout. But, Ferrari's are really quick in race conditions and Alonso will probably leap frog at least 2 at the start and we know Mercedes are really quick this year. Should be a good race tomorrow either way.

Its 6 AM and I haven't slept and I'll have to wake up again for the race. Thinking about not sleeping at all.

Webber is going to be the man to make this season boring, I really wouldn't mind Red Bull dominating if they had two drivers that could fight each other, but Webber just isn't up to it.

Let's hope the FIA get a nudge from Ferrari or something to slow the Bull's down, a repeat of 2011 would be the stuff of nightmares for fans.

Is the sky pre-race coverage worth getting up for at 4.30 or should I just stay in bed till 6?

Actually thinking about that, it would have to be some damn good entertainment for me to get at 4.30

Get up about 30 minutes before to catch Brundle's grid walk.

Nice to see McLaren haven't changed too

Button's tyres are destroyed and for absolutely zero gain. Unreal. This team do my head in.

Looking forward to the race. from watching the pre show stuff so far it looks like the sun is around at least today

2 second gap after the first lap. Massa and Alonso got to be careful not to get caught up fighting with each other and letting vettel build up a big lead
