The F1 Thread 2012 Season

This forum loves Vettel so much. Any more love and he'd be Suarez :)

I actually respect Vettel a lot and find him a thoroughly likeable chap. Read through this thread to see me sticking up for him when the others dislike him purely for being very, very good. However, you can't deny his luck twice this season. I honestly can't remember an escape like his before.

What the feck are the Race Directors doing today? There is debris everywhere and cars passing under yellows.

Finally SC.

Field closing for Vettel yet again. This has been the luckiest championship for Vettel.

I was trying to highlight how your pro-Vettel stance may possibly be hindering your view of objective reality. Given that you "didn't see" the incident, I suggest I'm right. :D

I'm a Ferrari fan but it's humorous. The Gods want Vettel to win, clearly. Wait until you see the replay, I don't think I've ever seen so many F1 cars miss a sitting duck. Where's Grosjean and Maldonado when you need them?

I can almost imagine it to be honest

I'm also a Ferrari fan but I like Vettel too. His luck is unbelievable though sometimes

I saw the start of the race a bit, saw vettel & webber spin, then went back to the chelsea city game, now vettel's back in 4th or 5th and where's massa? What happened??

Vettel just went "feck this, I want this championship" and starting flying through the field

Senna hit him, hit his rear suspension twice and somehow survived it. Made his way back up, then pitted for inters, then overtook Kobayashi under yellows and has seemingly gotten away with it.

Massa gambled on staying on drys then probably lost all temp in the damp and fell back like a stone.

Imagine we're all running in a 200m sprint and suddenly I left my lane to hop into yours. You'd hit me but would it be your fault? No. I left my lane. I realise that F1 doesn't have "lanes" but it does have racing lines and Vettel clearly left his and impeded on Senna's. Come on man!

EDIT: I swear I was trying to quote Rado here. Did he delete his post?

I still can't believe Vettel caught up 10 places in 2 or 3 laps.. Are the other cars/drivers really that bad?

In fairness, the man is a double (soon to be triple) world champion. I'd say it's more him just being that much better than the others.

How long does it take to clear up the debris? Just get a broom out there for goodness' sake!

Why don't Ferrari complain about Vettel and the overtaking under yellow flags? Would make this interesting.

Calm before the storm but goddamn you can always rely on Brazil to throw up a topsy turvy classic.
