The F1 Thread 2011 Season

I agree about Schumacher, it looked like he had come to life earlier on but then he fell off again, he should have stayed retired.

Vettel needs to turn shite for a while atleast and to keep some interest in the races and qualifying alive.

that quali did really bore the tits off me, vettel to win from pole tomorrow probably

Why are you all pissed about Vettel being on pole? You know its going to happen until the other teams start to catch up, atleast Mercedes are joining the battle.

Webber needs to do us all a favor and send one up the inside on Lap 1, he has to realise soon if Vettel continues to beat him its all over before we get halfway in terms of in team battling.

Not really pissed. Just a tad bit disappointed that his car is just so much faster than anyone else right now and he's running away with it and hence will probably make the 2nd half of the season a bit boring.

Race pace is much closer, the speculation is they do something with the engine mapping in quali which they can't use in the race (probably have been since 2009) and they also use a bigger slot gap on the rear wing which also gives them more time over a single quali lap (Mercedes also do this).

Still think they will have a 1-2 here mind. Rumour also on the grapevine is McLaren have something lined up for the next race which they think will give them more, probably the octopus exhaust again.

Yes it's a good thing race pace is close or else there would be absolutely no point of watching F1 anymore. But despite that the Red Bulls are still too fast. 3 or 4 more wins over the next 5-6 races and it's going to be a poor second half.

Ferrari also tend to improve as the season goes on but hopefully it's not too late this time.

I'd just love to have Alonso and Vettel both in a Red Bull. Would be amazing and self destructive but brilliant viewing for the neutrals!

Why Button was fighting so hard I will never know, that was doing both of them no good.

Oh and Schumacher is an idiot.

What exactly did he do wrong?

Schumacher isn't that good anymore, but Rosberg has to be the most overrated driver in F1. Yet again bends over and takes it up the arse like he did in China. He'll be lucky to win a race in his career.

Rosberg couldn't do shit there, he was a sitting duck with Webber having the DRS and him unable to use it.

What exactly did he do wrong?

Caused an avoidable collision
By turning in to the corner when Petrov is there
I don't expect him to get a penalty, as the only person who seems to have suffered is Schumacher himself

Nice driving from Hamilton and Button, best bit of this race so far

The mclarens really going for it against each other

I agree he is overrated , to me it looked like Shu caused the bump but then again Petrov was just as much a fault
