And he's spot on. What the bloody hell is the point in running around behind the safety car when the cars can go faster and actually get heat and downforce going. Let them go, you crash, you crash. When the cars spread out there will be far less haze.

Lewis is a racer. He probably would go for it even if he was leading the Championship.

Means that he's fine with racing to figure out who the winner is. Not posturing to help his cause. There have been races in worser conditions than it is out there now.
