The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

I’m not even joking, we should sign Ghoddos and play him on the right. I’d be happy with that. Don’t know whether I’m just so desperate for a right winger or whether he is actually really good.
Been made to look great by this shite.

He’s given the ball away far too often

Was about to post that.
They say it was between Spartak Ultras and police.
Russia isn't doing enough to stop these thugs from travelling.

Going through with a defeat. A new low for us. I apologize to Redcafe for supporting Arsenal. See you guys.

I can see AC Milan making a strong bid for the competition. Hitting some good form, but probably too far off the top four in Serie A to make a realistic bid for it, thus letting them focus on Europe.

Why do people think Arsenal will beat city on Sunday. Aren't you getting disappointed enough by Utd that you need another source of disappointment :D

Tough last 16 this season in comparison to last. Atletico Madrid, Dortmund, Milan and one or two others have a good chance. Of course Arsenal could get a bit lucky like we did and have most of the 'bigger' teams (Lyon, Roma, Schalke) knock each other out.

Which they'll need really, because the Europa's the only way they're getting into the CL next season.

Im watching it and they actually play well and deserve the lead. Now Im opening a bottle of Jämtlands IPA and waiting for second half :) No matter what happens in second half, I dont think I've ever been more impressed by team than by Östersund. What they have done and are doing is remarkable.

Couldn't agree more, and they have played some excellent football along the way as well. Wasn't it Bilbao's coach who compared them to Barca? Anyway, considering the teams they've beaten to get here they have had an amazing journey. Hopefully they will get to keep all the players for at least another year.

Russia glorifies in them ... far from wanting to stop them.

And did you know? Only two teams have beaten Arsenal at the Emirates this season: Östersunds Fotbollsklubb and Manchester United.

What I don't understand is when they travel abroad, why don't the local authorities take strong measures and put them in prison for good when they incite violence and commit crimes?

I'm sure European authorities are well aware of all the top ultras from every different country. Why is nothing done about them? I ask the same questions to myself and in my own country, because we have the same problems. The police, the agencies, they all know who these people are, what kind of criminal activity and organisations they have, the way they conduct themselves in public places and how they harm the sport, the economy, the social feelings of people about justice and a lot more. I can fully admit Eastern-European countires in general still have big problems with hooligans but I don't understand how, why and why is it allowed for these people to walk freely in other parts of Europe and the world.

I don't think it's fair to single out Russia for this. As far as I know, in South America there are still huge problems in this matter. I think a few years ago there was a massive problem in one stadium where fans were seen literally caving in other people's heads while they are on the ground. It was horrific.
