The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

The competition looks very strong this year. Napoli and Atletico dropping down from CL do help the cause.

Looks like you've avoided the big hitters.
True, but the only ones I really wanted to avoid were Napoli and BVB.

Arsenal vs Ostersunds. Does this call for the kids ?

Full Draw:

Borussia Dortmund v Atalanta
Nice v Lokomotiv Moscow
Copenhagen v Atlético Madrid
Spartak Moscow v Athletic Bilbao
AEK Athens v Dynamo Kyiv
Celtic v Zenit St Petersburg
Napoli v RB Leipzig
Crvena Zvezda v CSKA Moscow
Lyon v Villarreal
Real Sociedad v Salzburg
Partizan Belgrade v Viktoria Plzen
Steaua Bucharest v Lazio
Ludogorets v Milan
Astana v Sporting
Ostersund v Arsenal
Marseille v Braga

Graham Potter v Arsenal.

Also known as next West Brom/Stoke/Crystal Palace manager vs Arsenal.

I didn't realize how much of a cinderella story Ostersunds under Potter were. Are they financed by a businessman so have significant funds to spend compared to other Swedish teams or is it all amazing work?

Freaking Kazakhstan... is this the furthest a team has had to travel in a european competition?

6100km apart. We'd be better off playing in New York

 Jorge Jesus must be happy.

Östersund can be very cold. They've got a different climate than we got at the coastal area. Sometimes we can have -5 and they've got -20...

So that could become very exciting if things turn "bad" :)

We (FC Copenhagen) are facing Atletico Madrid:lol:

Considering we won’t get far in the tournament anyway I’m happy to get to see Torres and Griezmann live in an otherwise horrendous season:drool:

Atalanta - BVB will be a nice game. Wonder how they will get on now that Bosz is gone.

Östersund can do it I think. It is such a typical game for Arsenal to bottle I think. Also at the time of the year when Arsenal start to fall apart naturally.

It also makes them 100% underdogs which I think can help.

So we are back in action today. We are gonna play on an artificial pitch, with about 4/5 degrees below zero.

No Aubameyang, Lacazette or Giroud? Good luck with that! I'm sticking a few quid on Östersunds!

Should be a few good games today

BVB - Atalanta
Lyon - Villarreal
Napoli - Leipzig
