The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

Real Sociedad are comfortably beating Rosenborg 3-0 and could had even scored a couple more. They've had a great campaign start and no wonder they're in first place this early, so far great possession football and great attack.

Is it really this uncommon in England? In normal games, it's absolutely normal for home and away fans to mix in Germany. I never had any problems. I've actually been to the last Bayern game in Cologne and was great. And there were only Cologne fans around me.

In England, if you get a few rival fans who make themselves obvious in a home end there can be real trouble.

1,000s mixed in? Unthinkable here

Some people raise animals in stinking cages and then proceed to slaughter them under fear just for the sake of eating some KFC for fun. Others pull the horns of a goat who gets pampered all day after scoring a goal. Not trying to be an ass here, but if you're calling animal abuse on that and condemn it, what are you saying about the daily killing lol

edit: slightly off-topic, sorry
I don't go to KFC.

That's quite sad, actually. Always like mingling with other fans.

I imagine a fair few would have gone on general sale. Was interested in getting Spurs tickets vs Dortmund but it was put on restricted general sale. You had to have signed up before the CL draw, in order to avoid a load of Dortmund fans picking up tickets in the home end I believe.

Yeah that sounds more likely. But as you say, normally clubs are wise to stop rival fans picking them up

Yeah it's weird, but it's a football thing mostly. We mix at rugby and cricket even being allowed to drink in the stands and there's no real trouble. Football on the other hand...

English football is way too tribal for that.

I've sat in the Arsenal end for the United game the last 5 or so years, but it's very much incognito and quiet. You'd be destroyed if you started cheering or making a scene!
I guess Arsenal fans won't be quite so brave when it's 1,000s of Germans though!

It's happened before.

I've been at Villa and seen thousand of United fans in the Holt End back before there were tickets.

Home fans will be brave with a single fan thousands together makes a big difference.

Holding could have been sent off already, 2 bookable offences in first 5 nins

Yeah. Ive sat with the home crowd at Villa, Birmingham, West Brom and Newcastle. I've seen people led out by the stewards for revealing they were away supporters.

I love it when Holdinh plays for Arsenal. He's so shit. Perfectly represents why Arsenal are where they are today.

Got to be sensible if you're in the wrong end!

I did St Andrews too. Trying not to look gutted when Birmingham equalised in the 90th+ min that year Berbatov scored.

And the other side of the coin, trying to contain delight when we smashed Wolves 5-0!

Most of them aren't particularly interested in EL game on Thursday night and probably sold it way above their value. With that in mind, don't know how police didn't expect something like this if there are 25,000 Germans in the town.

I wonder if the club will try and trace back tickets. Or maybe there would simply be too many of their fans to clamp down on!
