The dream is over, should United go after any Leicester City player?

I'd still very much consider Mahrez. He hasn't had a good season but he can do things with a football that very few people in the league are capable of. Kasper Schmeichel would we a worthy contender if we were to sell DDG.

Mahrez has been real effective champions league but yeah his consistency in the league has been rubbish. That has been the whole team though as they hated Ranieri

For me it would have to be Vardy. His pace in a team with better quality would frighten the devil in hell. Can you imagine him, Griezmann and Mkhitaryan together! I salivate at that combo

They have no real stand outs now Kante has left them, but would be ok with us picking up Gray or Ndidi to provide competition for places. Think Jose will be in the market for guaranteed first teamers this summer though.

Damarai Gray.

rather have the Burnley Gray...speed wise, spirit wise, physical wise is better...

Yesterday, Leicester met their shadow killer in form of Atletico...same tactic, different players...while they fought hard to beat ATM, they did not have the quality to cope on...

And no, we don't need any of them players...if we look on individually, most of their first team are average footballer...maximum value of them is for back up team...

and the way the key players threat Claudio...what a bunch of twats...they lucky to survive degradation this season....

Would still go for Mahrez. He was tearing Atletico apart last night, looked the best player on the park for 60 minutes until they went to long ball.

He's definitely got the ability but lacks the motivation at Leicester.

No, bunch of mostly average cnuts who'll down their tools like they did with Ranieri when things don't go their way.

Exactly this. They've short changed their fans for half a season and only decided to start playing once Ranieri was sacked.
Ranieri, the man who got them into the CL in the first place. Shower of cnuts.

Mahrez, Ndidi, and Kasper would be good signings for anyone.

Mahrez got his head turned and didn't get it back on straight until recently, if even that, but he still has the goods. Whether he could handle being under Jose is another issue, but I wouldn't mind signing him (after inquiring about other options, though).

Ndidi seems to be what LC was missing earlier in the season and has been a revelation. Good enough for United? Maybe, but I'd rather have Fabinho for DM. Again, a case of maybe if other options fall through.

Kasper is still in the top tier of PL keepers. If De Gea goes, can't go wrong with Kasper, but as above, after looking at other options (most notably Oblak & maybe Pickford).

I like Shaw and think he'll come good. But if Mourinho disagrees and gives up on him, we should try exactly the same trick again with Chilwell. Fantastic prospect.

Vardy could be a shrewd addition in the case the likes of Griezmann, Sanchez, Aguero will not come and if you lot do not qualify for the next CL, I can't see any of the three coming, so...

If De Gea left, I'd seriously look at Schmeichel...

It's just if the shirt would weigh heavily on him, because of his old man...

Mahrez, would definitely be an upgrade to our right attacking side. All the people who are moaning about him "not giving his everything when things don't go well". That's the case with 98% of footballers, probably pretty much any player of our squad as well. I have seen plenty of games most of our players "not giving it all". The only exceptions probably Lingard, Herrera and Valencia. This type of mentality is very rare though, especially for attack-minded footballers.

Put it this way. Leicester would give us an arm and vardy if they can get mkhitaryan there.

But on the other side we would buy vardy to play in mkhitaryan place?

So who is the better player?

I'd be shocked if you could find a single Leicester city fan that would swap Vardy with Mkhitaryan.

Mahrez is such an odd one. He was doing outrageous stuff last season and his statistical output was as good as Hazard's best season in the PL (2014/15).
I wonder if he can get back to that level.

Not for any price over £15-20m anyway. Any you could name are squad players at best.

Don't understand how people can be suggesting we go for Vardy. He is just a year younger than Wayne Rooney and his game is based entirely on pace.

His game only works when the entire team is bent to suit his style so his scoring record, other than last season, is very average despite being in lower leagues.

Of course he can. Put Hazard or Sanchez in a non-functioning team like Leicester was for the vast majority of the season, and they won't do any better then him.

I think Mahrez is quality, he'd be a great addition to any team in the prem imo.

No, bunch of mostly average cnuts who'll down their tools like they did with Ranieri when things don't go their way.

They did down tools, though so did Chelsea players last year and if we were given a choice of landing Hazard (in a theoretical scenario where Mou was not our manager) we'd be jumping though hoops to make it happen.

As for them being average, they did reach the QF of the CL, which is further than Tottenham, City and Arsenal. And under a new manager they started to put together results and performances not too dissimilar from last season's.

My point is, it's hard to describe players who on one year won and the league and the next year they reached the CL QF stage as "average". There are clearly some very good players in there or those feats would not be possible.

I personally rate Ndidi, Vardy and Mahrez. I think they would slot well in a top 6 team.

For all the dumb nutz claiming leicester dont have "united level" players, i give you Ashley youngggggg

Since Ranieri left Mahrez picked up again in the league too. His stats so far this season are not dissimilar to Mata's for us. And that's playing for an inferior team that did down tools for quite a while too. The fact his best performances have been in the CL shows you there's a very decent player in there. Whether his character is suspect or not, that's another matter.

Ndidi is a great prospect, as is Ben Chilwell.
