Agreed that it would be more logical to wait until the squads are completed, but we've had problems previously with managers taking ages to submit their seedings IIRC, so it's more practical to incentivise them to do it now.

I confess to hating doing these rankings though. Jotted out my expected XIs for all teams and struggling to seperate most of them.

I think part of it has been the no criteria, meant there has been almost zero blocks once people set their tactical ideas. I think everything kept the same with criteria would have resulted in the carnage you had in mind when you started it.

Generally, in a typical sheep draft: the names of the successful players picked are disclosed at the end of the round, not the end of each stage

Yeah I think that definitely played a massive part, but with the extra round and encouraging aggressive drafting, setting criteria would have led to the big guns that were possible to pick would have been getting blocked more regular.
