The Culture Wars

This kind of nonsense is incredibly dangerous rhetoric. All it does is fan the flames and give right wing nutters more ammunition.

Besides, its stupid as feck as well. "Whiteness prevents connection to humanity". Pure pseudo-intellectual nonsense
Gotta say, there's kind of a deification of Kendi at the moment in the progressive-intelletcual sphere that I definitely don't love. He's one of the scholars that presents lots of analyses, but as far as I can tell, very few solutions.

inscrutable

e - the top replies (all bluechecks supportive of the end wokeness account) are also split, either this is herd behaviour caused by vaccines and CCP, or, this is common courtesy before wokeness.

ask these same people about high taxing, high welfare nordic countries and the answers will be they have it so good "because they are a homogeneous society" or "we shouldn't replicate authoritarian nanny states".

Conservatism as an ideology is a mental spasm. It continues to make the worst decisions based on fallible human desires for neat answers, usually resorting to conspiracy to make people feel like there is a reason for everything and a group to persecute when things feel "unresolved".

The right wing: "how come no one cares about male suicide?"

Also the right wing:

The culture war is seemly a bunch of people that have nothing to do with their lives so they spend their lives trying to divide society so they get some weird personal gratification.

Men who are interested in learning are not real men.

Especially seeing how Universities in the states have fired teachers for literally using a Chinese term correctly, in a language lesson, that sounds like the n word...

I wanted to say "You can't be serious" but It's very easy to believe this has happened...

May I have a link for an article or something?

Edit: found it. feck me.

Still a lot of commotion about Harvard (and other universities ofcourse).

Yeah. I'm far from being a proficient Mandarin speaker,
but I did spend a couple of months in China, and you hear that word practically in every sentence.

it doesn't even sound the same if you ask me.

that ne-ga of the Mandarin word has the same sound as the 'ne' in nerd.

Never in my life have I heard someone pronounce the N-Word beginning with this sound.
But I'm not a native English speaker, and I surely as shit wasn't there in class to hear what they heard. who knows.

Even if the sound was exactly the same, this story is absolutely nuts.

As an aside, you should know that Sein in German has the same sound as Zayin in Hebrew (zayin = penis).
Maybe I can sign up to a German university and also get someone fired...

By the way, there is a campaign against Claudine Gay from Harvard. Don't know the ins & outs of her plagiarism case but the bigger context here is also heavy anti-DEI sentiment.

Anyone seen any of the shite put out by Hillbillywood (Hillywood)? Was listening to a podcast review the latest offering from the Daily Wire, 'Lady Ballers', a "comedy" about a former high school basketball coach who reassembles his title winning squad to compete in a women's basketball league by pretending they're trans. It's supposed to ridicule trans people in general and trans athletes specifically, but is mostly just incredibly offensive to women and women athletes. Which is about what you'd expect from that kind of people.

Expect attacks on DEI to continue.

The Israeli mafia in the US > the intersectional DEI mafia

The trouble with DEI is that its actually been reduced to an easily attackable acronym that can be used to beat people who have benefited from DEI over the head with. Somewhat similar to the recent re-definition of the word woke.

Wouldn't be surprised if the culture war heats up even more. Billionaire Bill Ackman posted a long tweet criticizing DEI, antiracism as described by the likes of Ibram X Kendi, anti-white rhetoric and so forth.
