Velvet Underground and Nico
Radiohead - Ok Computer
The Beatles - Revolver
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Nirvana - Nevermind
AIR - Moon Safari (odd choice I know but it's a classic of it's genre)
Blondie - Parralel lines
The Clash - London Calling
The Cure - Disintegration
David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust.

There are more but those are my favourites.

Even though some of the songs are played out, every one of them are recognizable and perfect on this album. I like Physical Graffitti better, but 4 has to go down as the best Led Zeppeilin(if not any rock band's) album ever.

I don't think they have a bad album let alone song

all of their albums are class but Led Zep iv rocks everytime you play it whether the last time you listened to it was a day ago or a couple of years ago

This should not happen

The great thing about IV (I'm looking at it right now) is there are no words on the cover or inside, and it sold millions. They hated the press so much(the press hated them too) they said feck it and let's see what happens if we put out an untitled album with no press release.

its a great album cover and it was a great pr stunt that wasn't needed such is the quality of the album

Either the Thriller, or Bad album by Michael Jackson

Nirvana - Nevermind
Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
David Gray - White Ladder
Idle Sons - Hell Or High Water (unreleased)

Thirded.

For me:

Radiohead (I could pick almost any of them depending on my mood, but for this purpose) OK Computer.

Beatles - Revolver

The Doors - The Doors/LA Woman

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

Leftfield - Leftism

Blah. blah, blah..........

The hard thing is picking a truly great album. Obviously you need to like the music but to me a great album not only needs great tracks but it shouldn't only have a few stunning tracks and a load of filler.

So on those grounds I wouldn't nominate Nirvana - Nevermind or any Oasis album. Bands also put far more tracks on albums these days so there is more likely to be filler.

So some that are great virtually all the way through

Bowie - Hunky Dory
U2 - Joshua Tree
Counting Crows - August And Everything After
Magazine - True Life
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
REM - Automatic For The People
Crowded House - Woodface
The The - Soul Mining
