What I really like about this – thus far – from a, say, pornographic perspective is the prospect of some delightful handbagging over ancient legends versus new fangled stars.

It's a real immersion and you almost have to live and breath the draft for a few days. That's been great in some ways (the intensity and the back-and-forth) and challenging in others (6 hours raise limit is too short and gets exploited by bidding at certain times of the day).

I can imagine! It is a lot of work as an admin to keep too in that way.

The idea with the 6 h raise limit was that it would be too short so people would have an advantage by very actively bidding. Was supposed to be a bit hectic so people would make bids before going to sleep etc, possible that the outcome of it was less positive than expected.

The auction drafts are usually fun for those tactical bids, trying to trick the rest etc etc. As it looks now the draft will only last three days more or less since the deadlines started.

Agreed. A lot of people (my boy Sjor Bepo included I think) overspent early. Some people didn't bid much and have the pick of the good players at 10M. For example (and this isn't a knock - I dunno if Stob bid early or not) @Stobzilla seemed to have nobody when everybody else had 4-5 players.

Not complaining Stob - I don't know if that was strategy or you got oubid.

Nahh Gio. There are MANY great players still to be picked up now. You wait, and pick 20 very good players that you can switch as needed (per the opponent you face) and you have a much easier time IMO.

Nahh Gio. There are MANY great players still to be picked up now. You wait, and pick 20 very good players that you can switch as needed (per the opponent you face) and you have a much easier time IMO.

It's not too bad here though I think.

If we exclude voters perspective than yes. But, sadly, Zidane will give you much more votes than Kopa even if there are discussions about who was the better player, so it's better to splash some cash early on one of 10-15 biggest names around.

Agreed. A lot of people (my boy Sjor Bepo included I think) overspent early. Some people didn't bid much and have the pick of the good players at 10M. For example (and this isn't a knock - I dunno if Stob bid early or not) @Stobzilla seemed to have nobody when everybody else had 4-5 players.

Not complaining Stob - I don't know if that was strategy or you got oubid.

I kept myself "active enough" shall we say.
