Am a casual golf fan. Why is it such a surprise Bubba winning given he has been in a PGA play-off before?
He's a very emotional guy who has choked a bit in the past.
I am surprisingly anti-US when it comes to golf. I suppose 20+ years of watching the Ryder Cup and all the majors as a Brit made me that way. Usually I am rooting for anybody but a yank TBH but today I am pleased Bubba won.

Because it seems like Bubba is kind of like you...he's a casual pro golfer. He's never taken a lesson, never analysed his swing, never hire a nutritionist. He has admitted he doesn't like playing 5 hours of golf a day and he gets bored easily. He has ADD too, for what it's worth
