Thai Cave kids | All 12 boys and coach rescued from cave | visiting United

let's pretend musk didn't question their expertise after most of the kids were already out

And the divers can call out Musk for what expertised he had for such a opreation which he did after that first line. I doubt Musk would called the diver pedo if not for that first comment.

and the diver wouldn't have told him to stick his oversized dildo up his arse if elon didn't use a bunch of children and their football coach almost dying to stroke his oversized ego, questioning the legitimacy of a successful rescue operation in the process

he's a piece of shit and should feck off to mars and die there

I figured his lawyers or Twitter would act on it.
Problem is that it would require him to listen to his lawyers. And twitter have shown they don't care about celebrities tweeting awful stuff.

Don't agree. One is at worst kind of dickish and the other is at worst life-destroying. As I said, I'd give the diver more leeway anyway but the two comments can't be compared.

Lets agree to disagree. I dont have any affinity towards Musk but lets not pretend that comment from the diver was unnecessary.

Originally I though Musk should be given the benefit of the doubt about building this thing but the more it drags on the less obvious his good will appears. These guys were looking at every single option available to them to get the children out as safely as possible. Super-Musk the Iron Man offers his services as a space ship builder and of course they accept and encourage it. Off Musk goes to tweet about it, generate good press and present himself as hero only to reportedly rock up post d-day with a useless tube entirely unfit for purpose.

He promised people in dire need the Earth, boasted about it, then provided peanuts. Diver guy expressing these sentiments seems well within his rights.

What's this thing about Musk's paedo comment? I'm drunk and can't search. Help.

His goodwill must be encourage because maybe in the future that thing will serve the purpose but i doubt the divers really expect it to be helpfull in this operation in first place at all let alone it working in such isolated place.

It seems that according to Musk, a British man living in Thailand is automatically a suspected paedophile and because he had the temerity to disagree with his submarine idea, Elon had the right to announce this hunch to the world.

it served it's purpose already, it got elon musk the headlines his little penis desires

That was my original position but how genuinely ludicrous his design appeared to me personally, the way the guy handled himself during and since and now this latest spat with the diver means I've pretty much changed my mind. Guy seems excessively driven by ego and benificence seems terribly low on a list of his character traits.

edit: I actually think that sabotaging his ego has a far greater chance of leading to some magical futuristic device than encouraging his good will. Dude proving himself right seems of far greater personal importance than proving himself helpful.

Musk went down a lot in my eyes with that pedo comment, it's a serious accusation and not something you spout out at random to sound edgy.

Are you kidding kn this thread? Calling someone a pedo for millions of followers, something this person will never lose all his life, possibly being threatened on the Internet by morons right now, is comparable to calling out a PR stunt?

Tbf to Musk, the diver said he can stick his submarine when its hurt. They are both wrong in my view, one doesnt have to said like that although it was joke and the other just butthurt he doesnt get appreciation for what he was doing.

Wow.

I thought it was just on twitter this sort of ridiculous comment was being made.

Musk was fine until his "assistance" became soley self serving publicity.

Any toddler who was reasonably good at not putting the round block in the square hole would know that a large aluminium tube isn't going to go round a 35 cm u-bend. Elon Musk didn't spot this flaw and turned up on site with it.

The moron still thinks it would have worked and want to send the sub where the kids were stuck to prove a point.

The fecking things is at least 1.5 m long and 50 cm wide (plus the air tanks strapped to it). How the feck is that huge dildo like thing going round a 35cm wide u-bend?

I'm sure the porn-industry can figure it out.

Tweets have been deleted. Expecting a retraction and apology soon to try and protect himself from legal action.

I won't be buying that 100K Tesla that I liked the look of! Seriously he's just like most folk who keep getting told they're amazing. He's not. And he'll find one day.

But yeah let's all boycott Tesla. Er....

A better reason to "boycott" Tesla is the fact that it's currently running straight out of money. I guess he could always prop it up with his PayPal/SpaceX money, but we'll see what happens to Tesla in the next decade. That said, Norway is apparently the most Tesla-fied country in the world, so maybe I don't have a choice.

They're not that popular here. You do see the odd S and X model. The X model has fantastic gullwing style rear doors...and it turns heads - it's not bloody cheap mind. But I suspect Tesla will fade into oblivion in a decade or so.

The government here (two different coalitions) has run a very electric-friendly policy. Stuff like lower taxes on purchase, being allowed to drive in bus lanes, cheaper parking, free charging, etc. They're phasing out the advantages now, though. It's one of life's great ironies that Norway, which derives so much of its wealth from oil and gas, has more electric cars than any other country in the world (per capita), not to mention gets 99% of its energy use from hydroelectricity. Though no doubt the oil/gas wealth is what allows us to do that in the first place (except the hydroelectricity, that's all mountains).

There's no way that's going to work, right? If the guy wants to sue him, he can sue him. And he should.
Hope so. At least, he would get some money from Musk to settle it out of court.

I'm not totally convinced that a Brit living in Thailand can have a fair legal fight with a billionaire, but I'm sure he'd like to.

The other group who might be unimpressed though, are the scuba team who had to work on the rescue. Some of those tweets not only downplayed their efforts they seemed to be accusing them of lying. Again though, I doubt either the divers who've gone back to their normal lives, or the Thai government really want the argument.
