MOVED FROM THE TREVEZ THREAD IN THE TRANSFER FORUM. That thread has now been cleaned up and it took fecking ages.
So you would prefer I came over all heavy handed and started handing out infraction for off topic stuff in football forum, banning poster from particualr forums who can't follow posting quidelines? We do not bar all humourous asides, banter or humorous pictures in the football forums so I don't know what standards you are refering to. The thread wasn't closed for the odd off topic picture or post. It was closed because it was a 214 page thread that was ,mainly either off topic or repetition of the same copy and pasted article in response to numerous complaints. A new start was needed and that is what happened.
I prefer to gently take the piss in the first instance. Not that it worked in this instance because the muppets didn't stop, they just got annoyed at their muppetry being pointed out. Which is why the thread was closed and new one opened.
I don't even know what you are upset about. The thread is still there so you can read the thread and even quote from it and there is a new thread which will hopefully remain on topic.
If you want to post general forum stuff in the football forum to the point where the majority of the thread belongs in the general then it will be closed or deleted or (if not too time consuming) have posts deleted to keep it on topic. We don't go OTT about this stuff and allow people quite a bit of leeway. Perhaps that is a mistake which we need to reconsider and impose far more stringent moderating.
In fact we will be doing this from the beginning of the new season in an attempt to raise the pitiful standard of football discussion on here. It is often embarrassing to be a united fan and be associated with the utter muppetry on here.
I am now cleaning up this thread and any further off topic posts will be deleted. If you want to raise a NEW issue about this thread then please raise it in the correct forum. The Admin/Mod help forum. In fact there is a thread in there already.

I don't care where that thread is or what happened to it. I do not care why you locked it, why you soft deleted it or anything else about the thread. And for the record I understand what standards were violated and don't have issue with any of that... clear so far
