this is quite amazing really.

can i be the one to formally announce that the redcafe site has just descended into civil war.

(for what it's worth i'm with rob and those who wrote in the original thread, as stated in other posts too long to repeat here. i wouldn't see myself as a muppet but i'd rather be a muppet than a puppet i guess).

Some of the stuff going on at the mo. seems to need a Scouse stereotype to say 'Kahllm doowwwnn llah!'

The angst levels at present would make you think we'd gone nuclear in a political current events topic.

A diverse number of posters for whom I harbour respect seem to be winding each other up for what are not major reasons.

Everyone please stop for a moment, count to twenty, take 4 deep slow breaths...

...THEN kick the shit out of each other.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT *charges aimlessly, trips and stabs himself in the foot*

That's what I'm trying to say too.

Let's not make such a big deal over this. It was a great thread, albeit one that didn't exactly follow forum rules and I thank the mods for letting it go on as long as it did. However, it's stopped now so let's all just stop arguing and leave it.

I think it's causing far too many arguments amongst posters, and I've ended up not liking a couple through it which is a big shame. Let's create a 'general' thread or something where we can just talk about whatever we like, it won't be the same but at least it's something. Well maybe not, but it's an idea at least.

I can't believe that the closure of that thread has led to this. I don't think either group is truly in the wrong here, but it's certainly separated the forum a bit. Kiss and make up and all that crap?

nah feck that hectic. as someone who prefers to usually watch rather than take part, this is brilliant entertainment. it can't stop until someones dead and half the boards banished to france. then they can come back, cut wibbles bollocks off and hang them from a tree in rutland :)

No-one wants to follow my proposal?

At least can someone point out what is wrong with it please?

My suggestion:

Open the old Tevez thread back up so us muppets can use that.

Stick the other Tevez thread and name is 'Serious Tevez Discussion/News Only'.

That way, both groups are happy and satisfied. The people who posted in the old Tevez thread and who are complaining now, can do so again without worrying about ruining it for anyone else, because they can use the 'serious' Tevez thread for their own discussions.

well, its clearly a good idea, as currently you and i writing about the same thing in two threads that provide neither news or, though to be fair it does to me, entertainment but can i say there should be a third thread and then we all pick sides and thats the new forum.

3 threads -

one for tevez talk (serious)
one for tevez talk (surreal)
one for name calling and just generally fighting. each day someone gets banned after a vote? hows about it? or should i get my coat? so many ?

Perhaps an 'I remember the old Tevez Signs thread' thread in the General, for the veterans to continue some of the banter, arguments about how/if it should have continued, and the indispensable latin lovely pics for Rob.

Then we would hope the topic v. angst ratio would get better in the surviving transfer thread.

I agree with the first two, and would love to see that last one but I just doubt that will happen to be honest!

I have already agreed in numerous places with this proposal.

But at this point there has been tons of damage done. I think we all might do with a little refelection and as opposed to FS suggestion... I think we all might owe up to our own short comings here. A little more peace, less name calling and we might all get along again and remember we are on these stupid boards because of our shared passion for United.

I can start. I apologize for spamming the original thread. I apologize for taking mod issues into the next thread. Anything else :)?

Agreed wholeheartedly.

I apologize for spamming (I didn't properly spam, but did post 650 times in one thread), winding-up on two occasions, being a bit of a spastic, and making so many Wiki Edits.

Opposed?

Oh, the irony! ;)

Or we could just ban everyone that's posted anything off-topic in the tevez threads.

"I didn't properly spam"... says the author of the Sea Pirate novella.

Flippin' lying git!!

:lol::lol:

erm, in all seriousness i missed the sea pirate thing and would, genuinely like for it to be told now, as some bugger deleted the original. i'm off for a bath now and i'm guessing it'd be a lovely bed time story. yours, affectionately, shit stirrer x

The original isn't actually deleted you know....It's back in the Transfer Forum.

I'm really not sure.

It was quoted a few times but I don't know where it last was.

I think your best bet is to ask Bowman, man of the bows, as he liked it quite a bit I think. He might have a better memory then me.

Actually, I reckon that post of yours might have been the major trigger for a complete change of Bowmanesque behaviour...

Before that he'd done about 600 posts in 3/4 years or so - then suddenly his imagination caught fire and... whooosh!!

No doubt he'll be back to intelligent posts about formations, tactics and possible signings once the fever dies down. (As opposed to oft-witty spam.)

It's true, it showed me a different side to him.

That particular story of mine didn't even get much of a reaction in that thread, but he liked it!

I suspect it may be the same type of surreal humour my wife and I like to practice on long car journeys.

I suspect she and Rob might get on very well - not that common for a fellow football fiend.

So sue me!! I am a sucker for sea stories...

Pg 78 author Hectic...

Tevez Capture Shock

This morning, Carlos Tevez was captured by.....sea pirates, as opposed to the land ones.

The on-going transfer saga between Tevez, Manchester United and West Ham, has led to the kidnapping of Tevez through pirates. Through our sources, the kidnapping took place early morning on the 9th of July. It is believed Carlos Tevez was washing his clothes in the sea, a strange thing to do in itself, when the pirates sensationally docked onto the beach and forced him onto their ship.

Police forces and Coast Guards have united their attempts to find Tevez. West Ham have released a statement to the pirates arguing that he is still their player, the premier league have supported these claims and their spokesman added,
"The Premier League scrutinised that capture but did not insist on West Ham receiving any of the money from that deal."

They have assured as that the pirates are unable to take Tevez, unless the money goes straight to West Ham. The statement itself caused an uproar among Human Rights activists who argue that Tevez's kidnapping should be above 'transfer' rights at this moment. However, A Premier League statement said: "Our position remains the same. Any deal for the transfer of Carlos Tevez has to be struck directly with West Ham United and we support West Ham United in asserting their rights over their player."

Ah excellent.

I have a very twisted humour that few can relate too. If normal people heard me, they would think I was sick, crazy and a twat probably. But fortunately for me, my friends understand that humour and relate to it.

And so we are clear you spammed... properly spammed... improperly spammed... wikki spammed... pictured spammed... animation spammed.... and just about every other type of spam/spammed you care to name.

Sorry. Not me mate... your parents pay me to be nice to you :(.

Well, I didn't do that post after post spam did I?

Oh, and my parents are dead mate.

I was just wondering what punishment people suffer for spamming an Admin/Mod Help Forum thread?

Perhaps being tied to the rack by Wesate with Nood's entrails and being forced to listen to the speeches of Jason's favourite Republican senators interspersed with 'music' selected by MancBoi.
