Rise of the footsoldier might be the worst film I've ever watched and I think did very well as a DVD release.
The worst film I've ever seen was Lost in Space, terrible plot, script, action, acting not even the charms of mimi rogers and heather graham could save the film.
I only managed 15 minutes of Tomb Raider before switching it off too, despite being stuck on a plane for 9 hours with nothing else to do.
The worst film I ever saw was Lady In The Water (think that's what it's called!). About some fecking woman who lands in some guy's pool in his back garden, I don't know whether she's supposed to be a fairy or a mermaid but anyways....it's fecking shit so avoid at all costs![]()
Cutthroat Island. Budgeted at $100 million, made $9.9 million.
Lost in Space? Really? I though that was good.
Oh and in answer to wibble's list, munchausen?
Sounds high to me.
And films now often claw their way to profitability through worldwide and DVD sales etc
The Golden Compass didn't do that well in the US but took a shed load of dosh elsewhere even before DVD sales.

I watched that new one 'The Strangers' not long ago, that was a big pile of shit.

I've seen that mentioned as the worst film of all time.
Definitely. Not to mention t-shirts and that sort of thing. The Boondock Saints cost 6 mil to make and only made 30 k, sure it's more than made it up on DVD sales
I kept waiting for something to happen but it never didIt was okay, a few creepy moments but I've seen a lot scarier than that.
