Tennis 2023

Drop in level there but generally Carlos is much more loose/comfortable in this match now.

The way Alcaraz is hitting it, is just making the ball hold up in the surface a bit.

Novak is in one of his familiar meltdowns where he looks like the errors creep in and he's going to lose before he comes back to win.

Great shot from Novak

So many errors from Novak right now. Carlos really needs to grab this match by the neck and take advantage.

At the risk of hyperbole, imo this is the highest level of tennis currently possible.

Novak gonna get more motivated here. Loves a conflict does Novak

Novak poor, but Alcaraz looks a bit weary.
His shots landing short, no power.

Could be tactical, but it's allowing Djokovic to control.

I have no idea what Carlos is doing in this game. He's absolutely shanked two forehands on BPs in this game.

Rattled, so of course he uses his little get the crowd antsy and agitated tactic to get his opponents out of a groove. Classic winner mentality.

This game is never ending here

I dont even care who wins I just want this game to be over.

They are but there is an element of Djokovic just too good for them

There is. It’s a bit of both really. He’s come up against a genuinely strong opponent now though and he’s looking a bit against it. Physically, he’s a beast for his age but he’s getting on at the end of the day, and if Alcaraz takes the third I don’t think Novak can keep up 5 sets. Could be wrong, though.

The quality of tennis in this game has been so poor. Just error after error from both

Come on Carlos. Just keep the ball in play there..

No one can keep up with Djokovic over 5 sets which is why he's just so difficult to beat in Slams.

I think Novak has probably hit more errors in this game than he did in all of the first set.

Reminds me of that early Pokémon episode where Ash and his opponent both fight with metapods and both just use harden over and over.
