First forehand UE from Nadal in an hour or so... what a machine he is.
Rafa is now in the same predicament as Fed was last set. Continue to claw back or save his energy for the next set.
Nadal fights for every set.. can't recall him ever giving a set away. Also think it's dangerous to let Fed go into a lead easily.. needs to keep the pressure up on Federer.
1 break down? No way, it can change so easily.
He has to claw back. Roger has advantage on him on both time on court (a full 5 hours plus) and days rest before the final. He won't tire in the 4th.

Fed's brain seems remarkably focused today, moreso than his recent slam final losses to Djokovic.
That was fantastic from Federer. Time for Rafa to respond.
Nadal's usually ridiculously strong on break points for and against, yet Federer's taken 4 of 9 whilst Nadal's on 2 of 9. He may tighten up as the line draws nearer but he's played better than I expected he would for most of this match, some of the tennis in that set was sublime.
This has been a great encounter already. These two are much more exciting to watch than Murray v Djokovic. Wonderful contrast in playing styles.
Federer was excellent in the third set, bar in the last game when he was serving very badly.
Absolutely loving this. Some of these shots Federer has hit are as good as they've ever been.

Yep, absolutely.
It's amazing to see these two legends of tennis in one more (and probably their last ever) slam final. They obviously aren't as good as they once were, but watching this takes me back to the days of their fierce rivalry and reminds me of those incredible Wimbledon finals. For me that was the peak of my enjoyment of watching tennis. Fed and Nadal was just so much more intense and entertaining than Novak and Murray in every single aspect.
Federer looks unstoppable with so many winners.
