He's never won Paris though and it's at least indoor practice for the WTF's. I thought he should have skipped this tournament and should skip Basel too.
He absolutely should have skipped one of Shanghai/Beijing and Basel. There's absolutely no point of playing these 500 tournaments and he'll burn himself out.
He's never won the WTF's either. No chance he'd skip it.

Yeah zero chance he's skipping WTF. It's the only major trophy missing for him.

By the end of the year Miami will probably be the only thing missing from Nadal's collection. Pretty damn impressive.

Kyrgios heard saying if he doesn't win the tie break after receiving a point penalty, he will retire.

Surely enough he retires after losing the tie break. Just when I thought he may have changed for the better

Nick is absolutely pathetic. Hope he gets banned for a year. Pathetic excuse of a tennis player.

One of the biggest idiots ever to play professional sport. Surely there must be scope for a misconduct charge if he's withdrawn from a match with no injury?
This behaviour is totally unacceptable and I wouldn't have thought many on the tour would lose any sleep if he gets banned or just quits.

He threatened to quit in the match against Nadal as well. What an absolute plonker this guy is.

I like Nick. He's entertaining and he plays well when he wants to play. It's professional sports, no one died.

I note with interest you used the word "professional" which ironically enough doesn't describe the way he carries himself at all. There are entertaining players in all sports - look at football and it's difficult to imagine Messi, or Chris Gayle in cricket just picking one point of a match and saying I'm quitting if this doesn't go my way. It's really, really poor behaviour and he needs to either pack it in or get out of the sport to make way for someone who actually enjoys the game and wants to play.

Nadal's record against Dimitrov is now 10-1 and only in two of Nadal's wins have been in straight sets, and both of which were on clay.

Despite the skewed head to head, they are usually pretty competitive entertaining matches.

They're usually like the one today - Dimitrov is great and Nadal is slightly better. They're going toe-to-toe until Dimitrov gets mentally worn out from having to be perfect in every single point for so long. Few players can match Nadal's best level of tennis and GD is one of them but he knows if he has an almost perfect game he'll probably lose and that must be excruciating.

Delpo having issues agaim with his wrist and may not play the SF against Federer tomorrow.

Other SF is Nadal - Cilic

Well, the first the games are an absolute treat so far. High quality strokes from both players, barely any errors.

How's it been?

Just put it on, hopinhg Federer wins this to set up a final with Nadal.

Wonderful match by Del Po and Fed. Missed the first set and a half but ended really well.

Nadal/Fed tomorrow is a nice match to wake up to tomorrow:drool:

Shame that the race for number one is over, would have been nice to have that in play tomorrow and for the last few tournaments ala Murray and Djokovic last year. Should be a fairly comfortable win for Rafa based on their respective form but maybe Federer can use his relative freshness to his advantage.

Roof closed today. Commentators just said that Roger leads Rafa 5-1 on indoor matches, while Rafa leads 8-5 on outdoor hard courts.

Federer was unplayable that set.

Roger will win this in straight sets comfortably if he maintains that level, as his serving was ridiculous.

 Don't think Federer has ever beaten so Nadal so easily, he was really incredible in that match.

I was confidentish pre-match, but when I realised it was indoors, that quickly evaporated and from the first game of the match, all confidence was gone.

Imagine if Federer had fixed his backhand issues sooner.

His level is incredible in general. For a tennis player aged 36 it doesn't even make any sense.

Great stuff from Fed. Kind of makes the Montreal fiasco even more annoying though... Rafa was poor, his serve was the only thing keeping the score respectable. Hopefully he can rest up before Paris.
