Great first game but then easy break and serve for Nole.
"In games where Djokovic is 40-0 down on an opponent's serve, he comes back to win the game 32% of the time."
I think the level of play that Djokovic has been at lately has been exaggerated by the (lack of) quality of his opponents. Tennis desperately needs someone to provide a good challenge.
you could say the same for Federer tbf.
Yup and the pool was lot worse when Federer used to win 3 slams a year.you could say the same for Federer tbf.
Differences in how they train, the types of bodies needed, collision injuries in football and and football has a lot more media pressure.Thinking of tennis I am wondering why the likes of Martial and other young players can't play week in week out without risking burn out when young top players in tennis play gruelling schedules that never change much from 19 until they are 30. They don't go; oh I am a kid, better skip these tournaments and wait till I am older.
No intentional re arrangements of schedules because of age. Skeptical about the theory that there is a need to pamper young footballers to avoid supposed burn out.

Very easily. Just looking at the stats. Seems like Hewitt and Roddick were his main rivals (03-07)Looked at their records and pretty medicore to be honest. Murray has reached the same amount of Grand Slam finals as both of them combined.
Can see the trAining and collisions being a factor, although with tennis there is far more pressure in matches as it's a one man game. All the mistakes and embarrassing moments are on you.Differences in how they train, the types of bodies needed, collision injuries in football and and football has a lot more media pressure.
Looks more to be a difference in mental strength.Murray's match-up with Djokovic is as bad as Fed-Djokovic atm. Virtually guaranteed win for Djok in slams.
But realistically there is only 4 times a year where the mistakes and embarrassing moments are world wide. Can see the trAining and collisions being a factor, although with tennis there is far more pressure in matches as it's a one man game. All the mistakes and embarrassing moments are on you.
