Tennis 2015

Too late. Has Djokovic ever lost from being 2-sets up? Can't ever remember it happening.
Ya, don't remember. Except grand slams, dont think any event, including Masters 1000 are best of 5 sets anymore. So, most probably, Djokovic has never lost from 2 sets up.

Very important that he came back from 0-40, match is finally a good fight, could be a exciting fourth set.

And now Murray break

Novak really is such a massive bellend.

I used to love him when he was first breaking onto the scene, but these days I really struggle to like him.

What a cnut he is. Faking injury again. Do not fall for ot again this time Murray.

Think Novak finishes it off quickly when it re-starts. Good fighting spirit from Murray though, he should have a lot of confidence going into Wimbledon.

Still fancy Djokovic to win it but incredible effort from Murray to take it to a fifth set.

Impressive fightback from Andy but his level dropped by 5% or so, while Djokovic raised his by a similar amount. Outplayed final set.

Knew he would get destroyed in the final set after all that bluster and fist pumping. Choker.

This womens finals actually turned out pretty decent after it looked like Serena was going annihilate Safarova.

Jesus. These tennis threads seem to bring the worst in people.

Relax. I don't even care about tennis it's just more funny than anything. When out of competition testers came to her house she literally locked herself in her room and refused to come out. Tennis has a big doping problem, probably more so than any other sport currently, but it is completely swept under the rug. They haven't had their cycling moment yet.

Yeah that would be her PANIC room she has in her house(Also worth pointing out that she rang the police at the time and that 2003 her sister was killed in a gang shooting).

95% of the top100 men and women players are doping in tennis. No reason to single out someone specifically.

Women should really start to hit the weight room and increase their daily intake to increase their strength to have a chance competing with Serena.

I agree. She's just the most obvious in my opinion. But I'll leave it at that as it's clearly rubbed some people up the wrong way.

Why would I do that? I enjoy tennis. Doping doesn't spoil sport for me. I am not complaining about doping and I didn´t bring it up. I just commented on the idea that only few players are doping while the rest is clean. That is a laughable opinion.

So who is doping then? I'm not disputing that it may take place, but again, I'd at least like to see evidence to suggest it does.

No, the laughable opinion was this:

what evidence do you expect me to bring up? There is no hard evidence; that's self-explanatory, right?

If you read about the possibility of doping, you´ll find out that anti-doping regimes are extremely inefficient. Why is that? Its very hard to detect illegal substances and most doping regimes have little power. The second point is by choice. Apparently most associations don´t have a strong interest in detecting doping; at least not all doping.
So we are in a situation where its primarily up to the athletes themselves to decide whether they use doping or not.
Sometimes there are positive doping findings and often associations or other people who are involved act fairly dodgy. There is so little interest in transparency.
Tennis is also insanely stressful for the body and players have to play too many matches with little time to regenerate.

Anyway. We won´t be able to convince each other and this thread should be about the final. I´ll stop the de-railing.

Laughable when people come up with this kind of bullshit. He is unlucky in the fact that he plays in an era when Federer, Nadal & Djokovic have been around.
No disgrace getting beaten by players who are better on the day.
Great player, great lad.

Murray is probably the only player that can play an even five set match against Novak in current form. he'll do even better at Wimbledon and with Nadal and Federer slowly fading, I think he will become Novak's biggest rival in coming years.

He has the ability but not the consistency to really challenge Nole throughout an entire season. I think he'll continue showing flashes of his best game and have the odd month or two in which he's playing incredible but it wouldn't last for long. I don't think he'll ever be at number 1. He could probably win a few more Slams though.
